Ehhh, more like you’re paying for fat cat pensions in NYC, etc. You’re paying for NYC. QOL is wayyyyy better here and taxes are nothing.

It’s not fair, the same way inland California is stuck with crazy taxes etc just because the coastal cities are so expensive.

It's actually much cheaper living inland. My brother lives in Eastvale in Riverside county, he has twice the house I have at almost the same price I paid. Property taxes are actually relatively low in California percentage wise, only caveat is he's one hour drive from work, and summers are hot and miserable

He needs to work from home if he's an hour away
Dang, that's serious wear and tear on the car plus two hours of driving a day, UNPAID. Lol

Agreed. We looked at moving from Seattle to Temecula. Houses there are way, way cheaper than Seattle, but with comparable property taxes and lower sales tax, yet that pesky state income tax. We still would have come out ahead. Planned commute was the deal breaker. Given another chance, though, I’d absolutely do it.

Vegas used to be relatively cheap to live in, but then California discovered us and just keeps sending their people here. Housing has gone up drastically. I'm lucky that I locked in my housing in 2018. For others, it's not so great anymore.

First impromptu roadtrip in the Zupra. B58 is truly impressive. 410 miles on the tank at highway speed. One thing I’ve learned so far the DTE is accurate unlike Lexus/Toyota DTE

Kept it between 87ish-90 on highway with flow of traffic. Little slower on the drive back towards the end.

Nice, and yep they are far more accurate. Much less reserve as well....I found that out in the S4 when I was running the tank to zero intentionally to clean it. 5 miles range remaining took the entire listed tank cap at the pump minus .3 gallons.

I've never run the A8s that low since I don't want to anger any of the 3 fuel pumps or 5 sensors in the tank.

Does the car have any Toyota feeling DNA in it?

Toyota emblems and JBL speakers, everything else looks, feels like, is BMW. I was at BMW dealership today and master tech told me I could get parts for the Supra there at the BMW dealer. Idk whose DNA it is but the horn is horrible. Sounds like a bicycle horn. Swap a horn from the Z4 fixes that. Go figure.

Today was most time I’ve had in it and on the highway is smooth as butter. I kept it in normal mode and even few times I reached triple digits with slight throttle input it was quiet and never interrupted my wife taking a nap or while she read her kindle. Just so happen she woke up one time when I was passing 3 cars in the left lane doing triple digits.

Today we went to look at another B58🙃

First time I blew the horn I literally looked around like WTF was that and it was me🤦‍♂️🫣 I haven’t touched the horn since. I rather yell inside the car like people yell at the TV than to touch that horn.
