I am too. This is a pretty stupid move by Mazda. If I need a monthly subscription to get into the vehicle, I will pass on that vehicle. For my professional work, all of the tools that I preferred to use have gone to a subscription setup, so I just don't use those anymore. I would like to buy the software, own it, and use it. If I need to pay extra for support, I am ok with that. For a vehicle, how does this even work? If I don't pay my subscription on time and I have a cart full of groceries, I cannot get into or drive the vehicle? It is absurd.

I'm in the exact same boat.
All the software I need to run the devices I test & work on cost $1000+ each on yearly subscription and I need a lot of them.
Plus, the software is over built doing a million things I don't need so when I only use it once a month or every few months or a year, I have a steep learning curve all over again because I forgot everything and now need to pour thru horrible documentation.
Screw that.
It is very painful & time consuming reverse engineering & grinding it out but I write all my own software now for device testing and it's mine and never has a subscription. Rant over. Lol
Made it back from WV, check out this gas mileage! This is close to 10% better than the old one on the highway. This is right as I got off the highway being rerouted off the highway for traffic...
This is at the end of the trip, because of the detour the last 60 miles had some traffic lights etc, amazing for a car of this performance and weight...
Total trip including some running around while I was there:
Since parking and handicapped spaces were mentioned, I used to work for a very small defense contractor mostly doing subcontract work for a large DoD contractor. Our CEO always parked her Audi A6 in one of the two handicapped spots out front. The CEO treated everyone like crap. One day, one of the many unhappy employees reported it to the police and she received a citation for $1100. I got blamed for it, but it was pointed out that I had left the company two weeks prior and would have no way to know if she was even there let alone parked in a handicapped space. I admit I am glad it happened. I like it when consequences apply to people who deserve them.
The funniest part of that is she thought an A6 was a high tier enough car to be acting that way lol! She probably didn't even have all options.....

That's damn good for a fully loaded minivan.
My RX330 won't get that.
