I wouldn't be shocked, my hood does similar when I'm FLOGGING it from heat off the turbos. As long as it goes back how it was I wouldn't panic

If you didn’t post pics I would have said lay off the pipe a little but it’s pretty clear in those pics. So weird, I’ve never seen that before. Of course if it was me I would be looking at it every time I drove it now.

Yeah as long as it goes back normal I'm not concerned...it wasnt until I saw it this morning that I was certain it wasnt supposed to be like that in the first place.

My wife saw it too, so I'm not crazy!

That was my thought too.
Must be an optical illusion but I can see it.

Look at the reflection, it deflects in the hot pictures

You need to drive a full zoot one, not a rental Tahoe with the base engine and probably minimal options. I know how luxury cars drive, too.

I'm talking you need to drive a Denali or Escalade with the 6.2 and those famous GM dampers. Ferrari used them at one time, or took the GM technology.

Not sure I agree with RR being better. They're different. Denali is BOF. RRs are garbage reliability wise which makes me not care if it's faster.

It is well known that GM is among the world's best for chassis tuning.

I'd take an Escalade V over any RR.

Get a V12 S class.....you owe it to yourself to at least try one.
They don't make them anymore! I don't like modern flagship cars because most are hybrids, old ones I do.

I implore you to try a full range rover if you are that impressed with a GM suv. It's night and day and the reliability isn't bad at all if you have an L405 or newer generation 5.0 engine and ignore the factory oil change advices

I can see it where it's bending the light.
No way hood can flex from a little heat but maybe?

I feel like a RR is more of a competitor to the Escalade V which is admittedly the best GM one you can get.

Yes, a Range is nicer than the Denali.

Oh it's a LOT of heat. Turbos are right there on hot V engines to the point you can get haze off the top of the hood

Will try and pull that up on my computer. Doesn’t work on the phone.

Not an illusion, you can actually flex it when you push on it.

I have, I have driven Escalades. They’re better but still a big truck and nothing car like about them.

Just not a replacement for a sedan at all, the way they drive bears no resemblance to one. I respect that you may have come to prefer driving a big truck like that (lots of people do), but it’s not “like a luxury sedan” in any way.

Not sure I agree with RR being better. They're different. Denali is BOF. RRs are garbage reliability wise which makes me not care if it's faster.
Big GM SUVs aren’t bastions for reliability either. I know a guy who’s Denali threw a rod at 20k miles.

When did you last drive a Range Rover? Heads and shoulders above a big GM SUV when it comes to driving dynamics on the road. I said they were closer to a luxury sedan than a Yukon, the unibody construction of that is a big reason why.

It is well known that GM is among the world's best for chassis tuning.
You're literally the only person I have ever heard say that lol. A Yukon is a big BOF SUV based on a pickup frame. Let’s not oversell the “chassis tuning”…

They sure do, Maybach S680.
