General Car Conversation 2024 - part 2
I have a great Indy as well. I’ve been taking cars to him since 2005. He is Lexus/Toyota but does work on Hondas too. An acquaintance asked me if he would work on a PT Cruiser. I figured he would not but I told the person to call Son and ask because it’s not to me to make business decisions for others. He said hell no as I expected. Who would want to work on one of those? lol
And yeah those Pt Cruisers are barely on the road anymore. The only ex I really have had one, blehhhhh.
My neighbor across the street is a nice older lady and she drives a white ES330 with gold emblems (real throwback, haven't seen that in a while). It also has the tackiest aftermarket wheels that someone from the hood must have put on when they owned it. Just kind of funny to see
‘I saw an old lady today at Tim Hortons with a flip phone. I could hear her punching in the buttons she talked loud too. I assume the older Buick Lacrosse outside was hers. At the same time I saw these teenagers getting in to a 2008 era Lexus ES350, obviously back to high school after getting coffee. It was clearly a hand me down car

Haha yeah. I’m rocking an 11 Pro Max that I got used. I really don’t see a reason to upgrade to a new one anymore. They’re all the same to me now.
To everyone who said I should at some point own a V10 TDI, no. I will not. This thing looks like hell, whole reason I picked the W12 as my engine type of choice is because of how simple it is. This V10 is the opposite lol!

Have to drop the engine to do anything.
Do you have the 16s or 17s? Looks like Michelin only makes two in the 16" size for the LS430--X-Ice and Defender2--and neither would be my choice. They make 5 in the 17" size, but again, no super great options.
I'd probably do the Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrack, Vredestein Hypertrac, or Continental TrueContact Tour, all 3 available in both sizes. I believe Steve had the Vredesteins previously and liked them quite well. Or if you want a little more aggressive tire that's still comfortable, the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+ in the 17"

Beware that there is also a Primacy Tour ZP, which you don't want. ZP stands for zero pressure, which is how Michelin designates their RFTs.
