This road is 1.4 miles long and it has that 30 mph speed limit through its entirety. There is no houses or driveways on this road or commercial businesses, so speed doesn’t seem to be much of a danger. It is the only north south road that cuts through this 4,500 acre park, which is located in the center of the metropolitan area. This park is surrounded on all sides by suburbs and wetlands.
So naturally many people use it as a shortcut.
Yeah, uhh...
ok, the auto embed is messing things up, "turn backwards" and note the 60 on the road (60kph = 37.2mph)
I guess my luck just well and truly sucks with Toyota/Lexus. Freaking dealer installed water pump with less than 5k miles on it is leaking.....now I have to pull a belt off and fix it in a driveway 850 miles from my shop haha!
Depends on the exact circumstances, but, in general, If you have a valid license in Maryland (where you live) and you lose your driving privileges in, say, DC or Virginia next door, you can still legally drive in Maryland as long as your Maryland license is valid.
This is entirely incorrect. No state can suspend someone's ability to drive only in their state. Licenses are suspended in total or not at all.
so, 600mi. of driving this past weekend down to s. florida. lots of construction on the turnpike. also did a couple of shorter trips to ft. lauderdale on i95 which i haven't been on in forever. i95 now has express toll lanes which were great.
one thing that was entertaining is at times you have a single express lane with barriers for miles before someone can enter or exit that lane. this means if someone should come barrelling up behind you and tailgate, there's nowhere to go.
so if one is in front but chooses not to go the speed the tailgater wants to go, the latter can just suck it up, buttercup.
love it.
the tailgaters were almost always big suvs, trucks, or any bmw.
I was down in DC today checking out a property that I am going to be selling. I love the way MB's satellite navigation adds to the satellite map with 3D building rederings in urban areas. Check out the Washington Monument, the rendering even shows the difference in the color of the marble 1/3rd of the way up...

That’s reallllly cool. I hear automakers—MB more specifically—are trying to make their interfaces better than Apple CarPlay.

I have stopped using CarPlay entirely...originally I couldn't fathom that, but this works great and the Apple Music directly through the car's system has much better sound quality. Only thing I still use through CarPlay is the phone and texting. I also use it for some of the apps like my calendar, and I have some weather apps and CB radio apps I use when I'm traveling.

I was heading to Kernville earlier this with two friends in the car, so I used the HOV lane to transition from 57 North to 60 East and had planned to get out of the HOV lane once I was on 60 East. Of course, a clapped out Altima (is there really any other kind) got right on my ***. At this point, it’s a single lane with concrete barriers on both sides so I can’t do anything about it for a while. I know I am risking another lecture about the perils of speeding, but I was going 80 mph in a 65 mph zone (allegedly). I put on my right blinker to say I am going to move over as soon as I can and the jackass just got closer. I know it’s not a good idea to punish other drivers, so I didn’t. I did get out of the HOV as soon as there weren’t walls to crash into and when the Altima went by and accelerated to over 100 mph, the driver and two passengers flipped me off. I did notice the yellow grease pencil writing on the back window, which indicates that the car was impounded fairly recently. Some people are just *** holes. The anonymity of being in a car seems to accentuate that with some.
