I was livid! Everyone drives 45 mph on that road. They were writing many tickets to other people at the same time! They had lots of police officers out there, waving people down. Had never seen anything like it before.
I hate roads like that, its like the speed limit only exists so they can write tickets!

Anyone ever own one or like them?
I have an agent that drives one of these and works out of it, I can't imagine that lol. They're cool though/.

@JDR76 @BayeauxLex

Does your 5.7 rumble harder the more gas you give it? I've been driving the LX570 lately and enjoying it. It's not the Denali but it's still powerful enough to be fun.

That's what's unique about it versus all the other V8s we have. If you gun the other three cars you just go faster and the engine revs.... The engine notes don't change the more gas I give them...

The 3UR 5.7 literally rumbles considerably more/harder when you dig into the gas. It's hard to explain. It's glorious.

I like the way they look, but I find them very uncomfortable at 6’5”. My head touches that bar that runs back behind the driver seat, so I have to sit bolt upright, not nice. I did ride in a Wrangler 4Xe once and I was shocked at how smooth and quiet it was on the highway. But it had touring tires and is all stock.

Yep, mine does. I quite like that aspect of the UR engines, the LS version gets really nice and musical over 5k.

The other engines I have don't really change like that, the W12s sorta do but it's more like they go from silent to not.

Forgot you have the Sequoyah.

The LS430 engine revs and you accelerate but the engine note
doesn't get deeper and burlier the more you put your foot down, unlike our LX570.

I was like... what? Patgilm sold his X7 for a Jeep? One of my friends had one like this. Lifted too. He took it everywhere. His wife on the other hand always complained about how uncomfortable it was. You know how this kind of story ends. Lol.

Been two years since I've seen the 06 LS, only has 1931 miles added so far. Battery went dead recently and I'm annoyed since the parts store person apparently lost of the original hood downs. Going to have to bring a spare with me next time I'm down here from the inventory I have at home....

I'll take it out a few times while I'm here and change the oil again, it also has a coolant leak somewhere and with my luck it's the water pump and I'll be forced to fix that as well. Maybe I'll be lucky though and it's just the overflow hose issue.

Thanks, needs a light cleaning but it's a near perfect example. This stupid coolant leak is annoying though as it has no reason to do this, it's too low mile and sorted for this lol!

I think it just missed me and wants attention, that or my luck just absolutely sucks!

I have older cars that don't do this but I do drive them near constantly and they are domestics so probably different plastic types or something I'm too lazy to look into....I'm hoping it's just the overflow as that's a known problem with 430s

I will, just not looking forward to Lexus parts pricing if it is the overflow tank. It's also not that old to be fair lol!

a good mechanic would catch some of these issues before they break or start to leak. Especially if they see the same vehicles on a regular basis. Maintenance inspection services are supposed to go over all this.

cool ad when Ford had a much larger market share
