I got one last month too, I forgot to pay it and the 30 days passed so it doubled to $200.
Good ol DC. Parking tickets are $100 too. They also double after 30 days from the MAIL date...so after 3 weeks or so from when you get it. Mysteriously they are never in the system the week you get the ticket so you can't pay them...because thats when people try and pay them as soon as they get them then they forget.
Here on the red light tickets you don't have to pay them.
It says on the back it won't go on your credit or driving record... burn them.
I don't condone running lights but I've gotten red light tickets for not coming to a complete stop turning right, I mean come on... it was "one of those" lights.
Once I got two in the same week coming home from school, same place, same stoplight. I was pissed lol.
Or a mint condition 20 year old car like mine.
Driven by an older man.
2004 RX330, nobody notices. Lol
That's what I love about these cars not only are they dead reliable no one cares enough about them to do anything like vandalism and yes they are pretty much invisible to cops. Don't think for a second the police don't target certain cars.

Luxury cars not being flashy is an opinion I might add. Today I was on the interstate and a white W222 passed me.... very flashy but in a good way.
The thing just screamed "boss...GTF outta my way".
I almost wish I bought that W222 for 40 grand, 2020 with 27k. But, it will just become a money pit unfortunately from what I've been seeing. It was black on black.

You have to pay them here or they will put an administrative hold on your registration.
Since I live in MD DC can’t put a hold on my registration but if you have two or more unpaid tickets in DC and you’re out of state tags and they see you parked in the district they will boot your car.

I drove a white W222 for 4 years, and it was a beautiful car but it got very little attention. Which is fine with me.
You misunderstand what I mean when I say it’s not flashy. It’s not that it’s not impressive or beautiful or fancy, it’s that when a big group of cars is driving down the road it doesn’t stand out and get the attention of cops looking for people to stop for speeding like a bright colored sports car does. That’s a good thing.
W222 won’t be a money pit. They’re very solid.
I did see a white S580 today, and I do miss the white.

That's because your car doesn't scream, "I'm looking for trouble". Lol
