New Quad R1s are here. Native NACS port moving forward, fast as hell (2.74 0-60, 10.64 quarter mile)

Edit: Launch mode cuts ~1 sec off the quarter mile and removes the 111ish speed cap

seems like very minor changes from gen 1 to gen 2? has price changed much?

 

Compared to the old quad, it's a big jump up. But the tri motor is the real replacement for the old quad from a capability perspective. The new quad ups HP to over 1000

 

 

besides horsepower. going from 800 to 1000 hp is of no interest to me.

 

Same, it's all bragging rights. I'm happy with my 835HP

 

Yeah the only reason we will consider the Tri Motor is the unique color and interior. I love the Storm Blue exterior which you have to get the Tri to get:



I also love the Tri's slate sky interior:





But if we get one we will probably just get a Dual Motor

 

I do like the quilted interior they're doing with the Tris and above.

 

The quad R1S is $125k and the lease payment is $1,950. Pass lol

right but you said the dual motor would be enough for you, which should cost a whole lot less.

 

Spec’ed the way we would want the Dual Motor would be about $97k and the lease would be $1,200 or so.

 

10-80 is 70% charging of say 400mi. full charge range, that’s 280mi. recharge, or 7mi/minute

for comparison, my car is about 250mi. full charge range, so 10-80 or 70% recharge is 177mi. recharge at 18 minutes, or 10mi/minute.

the longer range is nice, but i’m not waiting 40 minutes.
