My neighbor with the Ioniq 5 had a 12v battery failure that left them stranded a couple times. Had to jump start it (crazy to think you have to do that with an EV).
mine has had no 12v issue. i've had all updates done. i don't recall having a '5k' service but i think that was done during an update/recall visit.
my gf's gv60 had a dead 12v battery and dealer came, jumped the car to start it, she drove it to dealer, and they replaced the battery.
i've read several things about the oem 12v battery being a poor one. maybe they're using something else in newer ioniq5s/gv60s

I brought the Ioniq 5 to work today to first of all drive it, and to wash it. Both missions accomplished
I've said this before a few times, it's been a great car, and great trouble free commuter. I absolutely love it. But I have to be totally honest, IMO it comes nowhere near my Tesla's in the way it drives, it's tech etc. The screens are good, but nowhere as good as the ones in my Tesla's. The software I would list as decent, not bad, but not great. And I'm still scratching my head as to why there is even a start button. This morning I accidentally got out of the car and started to enter my work building without hitting the start/stop button, but I heard the car beep.
The really cool thing it has over my Tesla's is the door handles, which tuck away into the door and present themselves when you approach the car. I absolutely love that feature, and wish Tesla would implement something similar on the 3/Y. It also has some cool animations of the battery pack and it's usage on the screen.
Anyway, it looks like I'll begin the return process around July
nice write-up. thought you were returning this month? why now july? didn't really save anything to return early?
I'm just so busy right now. My company is trying to raise money, and we are in survival mode at this point. Lease payment was already made, might as well hold on to it for a little longer
I will just ground it if I were in your shoes. That's what I did with the Polestar. Lease payments are due regardless but I'd like to take it off my insurance the earliest possible.
I brought our Ioniq5 for service yesterday. They did tire rotation, brake inspection, multi point inspection and tire pressure check. Paperwork also mentioned "free NACS adapter (visibility only)" but SA said to wait for an email from Hyundai.

It's mostly grounded, we take it out maybe once or twice a month just to drive it. I'll talk to my insurance company about a garage rate
Well folks, today is the day. I'll be dropping the Ioniq off to the dealership later today. It's bittersweet for me. On one hand, great Tesla alternative, great commuter. And on the other, we really don't need the extra car, the additional insurance costs. And with the economy heading south, and my companies future (and my job) in limbo, time to move on. Some final pics from this morning
I'll give my final thoughts after the car is returned
