IS250 Seafoam Treatment = Success
hi everyone, bought my 2007 IS250 AWD with 98k (km) onboard, and Lexus Oakville that serviced the car before did not have any record of the 96k maintenance being performed. So I went to Ausssieauto to replace plugs, and he suggested a Seafoam cleaning of the intake valves. After doing that, the idle was still kind of rough, (without misfiring or anything like that)especially when the car was in drive. Bought Seafoam from CanTire and added in the tank, one botle in about 40l of gas. Then drove the car agressively (keeping it above 4000rpm) on the highway for a couple of days until the tank was empty. Filled up with 91 and I can tell you that my idle is as smooth as it can get. I had a loaner IS350 from the dealer at some point and mine is no different now.
So yes, Seafoam works and I reccomend it highly. Needless to say that I'm a very happy camper. I'm running Mobil 1 in it as well, curious if the fuel consumption is better now.

If it was me i wouldn't put anything in the oil, ever. Just quality synthetic which cleans the engine in time. It has more cleaning agents than dyno oil plus it doesn't produce sludge. Rick from Aussie mentioned to me that using synthetic in the IS250 also helps prevent the carbon buildup.
I have the infamous 3l v6 that was very prone to sludge in my other car and after running Mobil1 in it for a few years i can tell you that's clean as a whistle.
That's my 0.02...
