Default Need good service shop in GTA

Hey folks...

I'm generally a lurker here on ClubLexus but I need some advice. My 02 SC430 wont start and I need a good service/repair shop. I've had it in at one of the dealerships and they say they don't know what the problem is and they want $125/hr to explore further. Problem is they've sunk a couple hours already and they're clearly lost. This is the same dealer that did a crap body job on a good buddy's car so I'm feeling like this is not the right place to put the car.

Its not the battery and I've called Lexus of Canada asking for a dealer with good customer sat numbers in the service dept or at least a long list of technical certs on the car but they won't say anything and they won't tell me who's qualified.

I need some help... where do I go when I'm outta my league and the company wont support me?

so we had a couple trips to Aussie Auto... not because of any issue with Rick (A+, highly recommended) but because one issue uncovered another. I can say in all honesty that Rick and his company did a great job in finding and fixing things the dealership had no clue about and that he did it faster and more reasonably priced than the dealer I had been working with could ever hope to. He was very flexible and helpful in terms of drop off and pick up and followed up with my wife to make sure she made it home OK since I was out of town. Would I recommend Aussie Auto to friends and family? You better believe it I would!

Ricks a cool guy! Met him at a meet and gave some honest advice despite him not doing the service. It's good to know that an enthusiast is working on a car. Next oil change, it's going to be at Aussie Auto.

Hey all I hope this information helps!

If you need a Lexus/Toyota specialist? Go see Rick at Aussie Auto Inc! He is very Knowledgeable, experienced, Lexus Enthusiast, and provides quality service at a reasonable price.

A couple months ago I was searching for a Lexus specialist and I found a few shops and one of them was Aussie Auto in Mississauga. I called a few Lexus/Toyota shops and was most pleased with the owner at Aussie auto “Rick”. It was time to get my Water pump & timing belt changed for my IS300 and Rick provided all the details necessary. He was very detailed, prompt, and knowledgeable. I have to say that he boldly stood out from rest and I wasn’t even in the shop yet.

So I ended up going to Aussie auto yesterday to get my Water pump and timing belt change done and I have to say that I’ve had a great experience with Aussie Auto. The owner “Rick” has 20 years experience with Lexus and is a Master and a Hybrid Tech. You can tell that Rick loves his job and his passion is displayed in his (A+) work. Rick also pointed out some other problems that the dealer and others couldn’t fix. Rick had a solution for the issues on the spot. Overall I was extremely pleased with Rick from start to finish. Rick gives Quality service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend him! His repair shop is located in Mississauga and easy to find. I will paste the link to his website and his phone number! I will take my car to him from now on. http://www.aussieauto.ca/ (905)-858-2886. Enjoy!!!

Got to agree also , Rick beats anyone else hands down including going to bullock city for years and now the service has gone to the shyts and the price thought the roof.
I can't count the times I go by Rick to do all the work I am too lazy to do myself.
He is hands down the best and honest. Which can't be said for his competition.

+1 on Aussie Auto. I had a good first experience with Rick today. I swapped out my luxury suspension for the oem sport package suspension. The dealership's quote came in 3 times more than what Rick charged me. In addition to fair prices I found Rick very professional organized and knowledgable. Would definitely go back.

I have a general question as a new owner of an IS.

Is there a requirement to have a certified Lexus mechanic to do the regular service maintenance on the car? I'm used to going to Igarage for my previous non-luxury cars and I would like to continue to go there (unless Lexus will void my warranty)
