Where to get caliper paint in Vancouver?
 

Hey guys, I want to paint my calipers, and is wondering where to buy the right paints in Vancouver? Also would it be hard to find the paint in blue, like the picture below?

I was going to get a shop to paint them for me, but they want $250~$300..so I decided to do some DIY on my own.

wow that looks clean! are they in metalic paint? Cause I painted mine at Advance for $120 material included, though the paint isn't glossy like that.

I don't know what kind of paint it is..but that's what I'm aiming at.
$120? Alex quoted me $250..and another body shop is asking $250~$300.

i think that has been clear coated

the surface of the caliper has been prepped, and prepped i mean as in sanded down to a smooth surface, then primer, paint, and clear

Per sonally I would have them powder caoted instead of paint. Powder coat can take the heat and take more abuse. The high heat cliper paint or BBQ paint is not that great. If you prep it properly it can turn out OK but I think Poweder coat or ceramic coat would be best.

If it were me I would have the ceramic coated black and and a CNC machine etch in the Lexus logo

I searched up a bit and some people said there's no need to use high temp paint on calipers..?

Anyone know any good shop to powder coat my calipers?

powdercoating calipers is a lot of work , you need to completely dissasemble and remove all seals, then reassemble and use new seals. If a bodyshop can properly prep and spray them it will probably look better (like the OP's pic) and be easier and cheaper to do.

The cost of the actual powedercoat is cheap , it's all the rest of the work that isn't.

Even stoptech and brembo just use paint on theirs, the paint is not even brake fluid resistant!

I bought the paint at Canadian Tire today, Dupli-Color's metal specks in blue.

think that's the color I'm looking for, a little metalic effect, but it's not high temperature paint though..do you guys think I should get a high temp paint instead?

use VHT caliper paint...

my calipers were removed, fully cleaned, friction and seal surfaces masked, then powdercoated... then the calipers were overhauled... now they hella pretty...

in hind sight, it'd have been smarter to use a pair of spare ones lol

Anyone know a shop in BC that would do this?

Thought I bump this thread as I'm asking the same question. Can you guys recommend a place that will paint my calipers without breaking the bank?
