Default My lexus was towed and was not put on flat bed.

I had somebody driving my car who got pulled over and he was suspended and my car was towed. I disputed it with the supervisor of motor vehicles and got my car out but I was worried as I was told that it should be towed only be a flat bed, which it was not.

So i took it to to my mechanic who saw my car before and inspected it before I bought it and he looked under and there was damage to the car. But when I took it to ICBC the estimator said that yes though it should have been on a flat bed, and there was damage and it could be from something else. So I got upset and told him to stay away from my car and went to leave and the lady got a manager to come and they said for me to bring in the papers showing my car was looked at before. They seemed nicer but I am concerned. I have only had the car for a for a few months and its actually only been driven for a couple months as I have it off the road now for winter.

Is there anything else I can get the creepy mechanic to look at to prove my case?

Just out of curiosity why do you think it needs to be on a flat bed? and what type of Lexus do you have and what kind of damage was there? Do you have any photos?

Just curious, why there another person driving your car?

--------
Lexus recommends a flatbed truck.

http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/do.../sec_05_01.pdf - There are other procedues as well as indicated per Lexus (flatbed being the first one to use).

Depeding on what other method the car was towed other than Lexus recommended, it may of damaged the underbody of the vehicle.

Mainly RX, GX , LX and AWD Lexus vehicles should be flatbed towed, but any two wheel drive can be regularly towed, besides most tow trucks will put the wheels not lifted on dolly wheels anyway so it's as good as a flatbed. That way any of them can be towed like that...

My car got towed a couple of times by regular tow trunk with dolly wheel in the rear. I drive a 09 gs450h. And my car is fine without any damages.

I guess it would depend on the vehicle as well. If it was lowered such that it cannot be used on a dolly wheel at all - self explanatory what would happen!
