the only way i eat alaskan king crab is chinese style - split into 2 servings, one in garlic sauce, and the other in roasted salt/pepper. yum! pricey tho...you are looking at anywhere from $12 - $14 per pound in season, avg. weight is around 8 lbs (maybe more?). $18-$19 for out of season.

 

Oh yea, I mean at Kirin or Sun Sui Wa. Hence why I think we should make a thing of it.

After finals? ... are king crab still in season in April?

 

Kirin's is good... as long as you don't go into the undercover parking lot of the one in Richmond Centre.... most of us... can't.

 

LOL! Too funny! Yeah seriously tho, I hear you. Whoever thought about putting those damn rubber speed bumps should be shot! It's friggin higher than a standard speed bump on the road!

there are a few good restaurants around town that are just as good for cheaper

oh man, king crab sounds good!! i'm in

haven't had king crab for awhile, only ate it at kirin and some small restaurants in coquitlam. don't really have any restaurants to recommend.

dont remember the name
behind McD, its got tank loads of king crab
it was pretty good the last time i had king crab there
but that was like a year ago

 

i tried king crab at northern dynasty on alexandra road 1-2 yrs ago...first time was fantastic, 2nd time was just average.

 

Do we maybe want to go after the Spanish Banks deal?

 

actually u know what, king crab is still prob best at Sun Sui Wah (better than Kirin)
since they are the first to bring it into vancouver and i heard the way they cook it is still better than others...
