heres what i made tonite

thoughts?

keep in mind, what i post now are just really a "sketch" for ideas
when i see something with great potential, i go and make the real thing and polish it up a lot more
i even go edit typefaces (fonts) sometimes

i like where this is going ... i'll try and figure out what font i was messing with (that i mentioned last nite)

re: end of my last night, which was really 2:30 am ... i STILL didn't get exactly what i wanted!!

Kaydee 10-15-08 11:47 PM

hope so ... we want to make friends w. the WA guys, maybe be more of a legit club so we can have a hope of rivalling So Cal

Kudos for the effort, but honestly, I wouldn't put one on my car.
Not really feelin' the mis-matched fonts :P

I'm not sure what's allowed by the site and all, and if posting the website is allowed and such, but it would be nice if we could, that way other Lexus owners could find us. On the other hand, thiefs could find out what's in our cars too ><!

i like the old designs better

+1.
It's not that I don't like the new designs but I kinda prefer the old ones (plus im thinking how they would look on the car/where/the size).
thanks for all the effort though ubernoob.
hopefully we can get one settled on soon and get these made (anyone actually know how/where/price?)

UberNoob 10-17-08 01:01 AM

no problems

how about this one?
is this the "old" one you guys are referring to?

I like this one

Maybe I'm in the minority on this next point, but I was actually more in favor of the vinyl that was more of a bar for the top of the rear/front window. Nothing super obnoxious like the "ACURA" ones, but maybe takes up 1/3 of the glass and is maybe 4" - 6" tall.

Kaydee 10-17-08 01:17 AM

I was thinking of the ones you have on your car now...version 1 or whatever...BUT since we can't do that, then this will have to do

I don't mind the 'CL'...but the pacific NW clublexus is just too plain...can we stretch the CL a bit to make it sleeker?

UberNoob 10-17-08 01:17 AM

or how about this
prob a bit weird...

ok this one looks better than the previous one
alot better

UberNoob 10-17-08 01:39 AM

ok i went hardcore geeky on it and went to alter the actual typeface using a font editor program
hehe

made the L a little longer and left side a bit thinner

Kaydee 10-17-08 01:47 AM

haha Kudos Dave...I like the shape of the CL...and after looking at the Hawaii stickers, I think it's better not to have any lettering inside C and L...and have a better font for pacific northwest...but I think your on to something here

I'll let the WA & OR people know, they may have some insights too

Faymester 10-17-08 08:58 AM

I like that last one ... I'm ok w. lettering inside the C & L, I'm thinking it doesn't have to be cut through letters, but rather the opposing color on top of the original (i.e. black lettering on a white decal)
