I like the change because Home Depot means going through a lot of unnecessary traffic & attempting to keep people together through that seems nearly impossible.

I realize we may well all get split up anyhow, but at least if we're all highway-ing we have a better shot and driving with people is always more fun.

No idea what this new mall is but i'll have a look at the map before heading on down.

So is it going to be in front of the tim hortons? Starbucks?


f.y.i. being a non-canadian/american, I suspect I potentially might get hassled more at the border but we'll see (at least that visa i got last time down is still valid but meh.. i still have no idea what i'm going to say up at customs... but I figure i'll take the opposite lane from alan and his friend and pretend I dunno 'em lol)

 

ok, people who DON'T know where the new pre-meet up place is: call me if you get lost, if you don't have my # PM me.

DIRECTIONS: on Marine in Burnaby, once you pass Boundary you then pass Nelson (& Mandeville Gardens) keep going until you come to Byrn Road. There's a big outdoor stop mall there (kinda looks like the outlets actually haha) turn right into there and find the Starbucks. In this mall you will also see a Cactus Club, Canadian Tire, PriceSmart Foods.

Like I say, I would post a map, but the mall is too new and isn't on and map yet.

To get to starbucks, you actually want to go one block (very short distance) past Bryne Road before turning right, then subsequently left into starbucks parking area. Bryne Road does not have left turn access into the mall. Just a heads up

because the strip mall is so new there, google map hasnt had time to update it yet

 

I was just curious on arrival time

 

Ubernoob and Kaydee: I drive by this area all the time and ive never seen a starbucks at point A from that google map. From the pin you dropped for point A, it would have to be in the golfcourse, or being built in the new commercial complex that is not yet completed. Point B is easy when you leave to go any direction b/c there is a light at the intersection.
