Dealer oil change cost in Canada too high?
Just had my dealer in Ottawa do a 16k on my '08 IS250. I asked for , and received only the oil change. Invoice came to $99....FOR AN OIL CHANGE!!!
Is this in line with other dealers in Canada? Carl |
Perfectly normal...

I would assume for that price they used synthetic. Whenever I change my oil on my SC400 I spend over $50 by the time I buy Mobil 1 and a Toyota filter, So $100 done for you seems fairly reasonable.

i had an oil change at a dealer some time ago and it cost me around there $90 i think... this is in vancouver, bc. i only did it cuz i was having other stuff looked at on the car anyways.
|
wow that's quite expensive...my oil change was about $30 parts $10 labour
|
Canadian Tire charges about the same if you buy the synthetic oil and fram filter...
|
thats why they are called stealerships :p

^ independent shop

I pay around $90 for oil change by my stealership in Toronto. I guess it's normal for Lexus to charge us this rate.
|
sounds in line for a dealership ... i do not go to the dealership unless i have to
|
No so bad considering my friend got a oil change, tire rotation and a check up (fluids, tensions, ect.) for get this $650 on his VW rabit. Oil chage for his Rabit alone is $120+.
That's why when I bought my car I stayed away from buying a euro. |
^^^ Yikes!!! 120?!?!?! that's more than a tune up bill for my car
|
That sounds about right. I was quoted $200 when I asked about the IS' maintenance schedule.
|
They most likey used synthetic..
I work at a mr. lube... most lexus's dont really need to use synthetic oil.. Change the oil yourself usless you got a IS300 those filter are a pain! |
