Alright so here's the thing. Some of you may or may not be aware that there is a lot of confusion regarding how Lexus paints their cars and SUVs. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out these threads:

What I am proposing we do is find out once and for all if Lexus black and red are single stage or clear coated. Here is how we'll do it.

If you have a 2004-2007 black or red IS/GS/ES/RX/etc.. and live in the GTA and want a free car wash, let me know. I will show up at a convenient time, test to see if the cars paint is single stage or not (this won't hurt it), and will wash and wax your car *for free*. This offer is open to the first few people who want to help out.

If you're thinking "this guy is crazy, I won't let him near my car", click my sig link - I do this for a living. I promise I won't hurt your baby, and I also promise it'll be the best car wash your car has ever seen.

Why am I doing this? I'm a car paint geek, and I get the question "Is Lexus black single stage?" more than people ask me if I'd like fries with that.

Heya - yes I am on g35driver.com. If you're free you should come out to the detailing meet. It should be a fun time. All the details are in that thread in the Canada forum. It's on the 7th in North York.

If you do come out I can take a look at that buffer burn you have too, maybe get a better look at it to determine exactly what it is and if you'll definitely need a repaint.
