ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion - Boosted200's Build Thread

I've been following Club Lexus for years now, but first time making a build thread. I have a 2017 Lexus IS 200T, with 20" Vossen VFS1, 3P Airlift suspension, and camber arms front & rear. No performance mods yet.

I started out my build like many on this forum. I wanted to lower the car just a little bit so the stock wheels look better, and get rid of the large fender to wheel gap on the front end. I first purchased a set of RSR down springs.... The RSR down springs made the car amazing to drive and looked OEM+. These springs made me wonder why the IS platform didn't come with these springs from the factory. The car had a soft ride but handled the corners very well with minimal body roll, also had no ground clearance issues. The RSR down springs had one flaw though...The front fender to wheel gap was much larger in the front versus the rear. It bothered me so much i purchased BC Racing coil overs to fix the issue. The coil overs have a perfect ride and fitment but i was rubbing on large bumps and steep driveways. That leads me to last year, when i decided to install Airlift air bags. Hopefully, rubbing / scrubbing and all out bumpy ride from stiff coil over suspension will be a thing of the past. It took a lot of work to get the wheels to fit perfectly and get the stance dialed in. Cutting, Dremeling, and relocating brackets is all necessary to tuck big 20" wheels into the fenders. With spacers, my final specs are: Front: 20x9 et. 23, 245/30/20 Falken tires, Rear: 20x10 et. 30, 265/30/20 Falken tires. If you want to be bagged, make sure you have a reliable alignment shop close to home. You will keep them in business! Hope you like the build so far!
