Its been a while without any updates so I wanted to share what's been going on with the car. I have a couple minor cosmetic things being finished up and some performance stuff as well
On the cosmetic side:
The car is getting completely repainted including some rust/damage around the windshield. She is getting a full repaint to factory color with a complete 97+ kit including the spoiler.
It's also getting a new set of eyeballs. I had the factory headlights refinished with messy garage clear lenses, Morimoto 5.0 mini d2s projectors, 55 watt Morimoto 5800k HID kit, and a custom piece to cover the factory running light as the domes were very yellow and nasty. I think it was a good compromise. I am probably going with a new set of extrude fogs to complete the look.
On the performance side i picked up a set of FIC 1100CC injectors for a good deal. All that's left is a fuel rail, FPR, new pump, and an ECU (Probably going with a Haltec) to get that s366 running. The power goal is still around 500rwhp.
I picked up an Pontiac Soltice AR5 with all the supporting parts including a driftmotion 3.5 clutch kit. waiting to be installed to basically convert it to a newer r154. I also got a custom AR5 trans mount. All i need to complete this is a drive shaft.
Good to hear from you Billy! And wow, that's a big update! The body paint prep work looks great! I think you'll like the AR5 conversion. You should be able to use a common SC300 Auto front driveshaft as the starting point if you want to keep your SC center d/s bearing (I recommend it unless you are going for four digit whp numbers). If the AR5 tail housing length is the same as an R154's the +50mm extension measurement should work out just the same.
