So I’m going to keep this short. I have a 91 Soarer with factory R154 that I’ve had for about a year. This winter I plan to start building a 1.5 JZ and going for 800-1000 hp. This build will be extremely slow but I’m going to try to keep this up to date. I picked up a 2JZGE long block for $100. The person I bought it from said it had low compression on cylinder one, I took the head off and found that the intake valve was stuck open a little bit causing the low compression. Here’s a few pictures of the soarer and the motor I picked up.
