1992 Lexus ls400
what's wrong with simply properly checking transmission fluid level then drain pan 2 times a year, measure amount and replace fluid? 1st time dropping pan and replace filter then twice a year.

Thats pretty much what folks do,in the search function you can find various drain intervals.And endless arguments regarding toyota/mobil trans fluid or some other generic fluids.
