No rub, even lowered?

Haven’t experienced any rubbing. Have had to adults in the front and a young man in the back.

Some changes to the setup. Went back to stock exhaust and cats after the PPE headers. Removed water/meth. Went to a different shop.

The dyno numbers at the initial install shop were 379-402whp. Went to a new tuner, same initial setup and it showed to 315-325. It was hotter but not -60whp hotter. This was all with water/meth.

Finally got the water/meth unplugged and drained and went to e50 blend and back to 365 at the new shop. Definitely faster and more tire-spinning than before. Finally, quiet and powerful.

Nice! so back to stock headers , and exhaust? Any reason why you didnt like the ppe headers and other stuff? Was it just the attention it drew?

The PPE headers are still on there just put the factory cat back and muffler back on, It was too loud and the exhaust was obnoxious. I was catching some flak from my better half.

Little BMW 3 m series (not M3) was somewhat surprised when I took him off the line. Of course I paid for that too, I am not allowed to go into boost with my lady in the car.

😂😂😂 I'll keep that in mind. If/when I get the car S/C'ed I'll have to get the wife her own car lol. She didn't even like when I get above 3krpms STOCK

I completely understand how you feel if I don't understand how they feel, I can't even get mine to use the automatic settings on the AC, Ha.

So with pump gas what do you think the car will put down? Would you need a separate tune for 91 ( ugh california) as well? Are these like presets you can load or is it loaded on the car until you change it at the tuner's shop? Sorry I am new to all this, just trying to understand how it would work if i got this done to my car; i am not sure ill be able to easily find ethanol locally where i live , I'm sure there are a few pumps around but would love to be able to run high octane pump gas and put in higher octane / E50 when I want to have some fun.

Car has been running good. Been traveling and working so I leave it parked vs beating it up on the commute.

I have a pump where I can get an e50 blend pretty consistently, basically 8 gal of e70 to 4 gal of 93 w/10% ethanol.

It has been super hot so one day I ran the car hard, then parked it for about five minutes and it started but kept dying. Thought I had lost the fuel pump. Towed it to the shop, started fine the next morning. Guessing the ethanol causes some sort of vapor lock, my buddy the mechanic said he had never heard of such a thing. Person who told me about vapor lock has a PhD in chemistry (and my gF so you know who is right).

Pleased with the overall running just don’t have time to enjoy it right now. Still need to run against a stock GSF but nobody over there offered. Car is crazy fast compared to stock and it is back to quieter status with no loss as far as I can tell from the stock exhaust.

Definitely. Had the car out last week but it will be off an on for the next six months, mostly on the rack at the hangar.

Actually I just looked at my signature because I forgot I have winter tires! About 3.5" in the back yard (as measured on the deck rail - scientific) but I went to shovel the drive and there wasn't much there. I can't wait until me and my lady get to Cabo, tired of the cold already!

In the process of listing the car for sale. Have all receipts (somewhere) conservatively put about $16K into the car asking 2K over private party blue book, just to keep the riff raff out. 45K miles. Winter and summer rims/tires, aftermarket exhaust. Supercharged.

Thoughts?

seems way premature just after a SC install and it goes for sale

*I keep tracking threads of SC builds, most either die without no update or end up just like this one, a out of th blue sale

The issue ended up being a fuel pump issue, it was fixed through a recall. I sold the car to an enthusiast and have not heard back from him (bad or good). I bought an S6 after that.
