Do the struts make the ride harsher on the 3IS? I know in previous cars I’ve put struts in they made the ride a little bit rougher.

No, the struts are adjustable damper. They can be as soft or as firm as you want. I have air suspension BTW. Non adjustable 'performance' shocks will add some stiffness tho, but are made for stiffer springs.

I was in a rush to find a fuse and went with the wiper fuse on the driver side box. I'm not sure if it's live in accessory mode (car off, radio on), which could reduce battery life if the compressors are running, but I never have the car in accessory mode.

I believe the wire should only be live when the car ignition is started. I'll check it out next spring, but it's perfectly fine as long as I know not to let the compressors run while ignition is off. If anyone knows an ignition fuse feel free to post.
