2001 Lexus LS430 headlight projector retrofit.
Whats up! Just finished my headlight retrofit project and wanted to share some pics of before, during, and after the process. Didn’t do a diy because there are already some on here, but if anyone has any questions regarding these specific projectors, PM me and I’ll try to help.
Projectors used: Morimoto mini D2s 4.0 for the Low beams with an Apollo 3.0 shroud with a Profile pivot switchback halo inside. Profile peak LED multi lens projector for the high with an apollo 2.0 shroud.

Are those multi colored LED's in the High Beam position??

No, it’s just like a spotlight pretty much. Really bright though, like a mini LED lightbar. It also has DRL function, which I still need to connect to another DRL auto switch. (Which is what I’m running the switchback halos with.)

The high beam multi lens is a self contained LED projector, so out the back you have your 9005 plug for main high beam power, and they also have a lead for DRL. Only issue is, since these models already have a built-in DRL controller in the ECU, it is impossible to use these as DRLs. I tried connecting them with a DRL auto switch, but they stay on wether the car is off or not. I tried every variation of wiring, LED decoders, and they did not work for DRL mode. I had to pull the high beam fuse so they wont flicker until I can have my Lex Tech buddy dissable the DRL function using the fancy Lexus computer scanner.
For the Low beam projector, it has a D2S fitting, so all you have to do is buy a D2C/D2R bulb anf you can comnect ot straight into ur D2R balast plug.
The switchback halo inside of the shroud has a few connections. It has a positive and negative for DRL, which I connected to the battery using an auto switch. It also has a turn signal lead, which you tap into your your blinker’s positive wire. They come with their own switchback drivers so you don’t have to worry about that. Finally, they have a dimmer wire which you tap into your low beams positive wire, to dim your halo when your headlights are on.
Everything worked perfectly asides from the high beam LED DRLs which was a huge bummer. I will have my buddy who is an electric wiz take a peek and see if he can figure it out.

Very nice job! I have a 2001 LS430 and one headlight is foggy. Curious if the celsior headlights are an easy replacement. Would love to go all out like you but on a budget. Thank you for your time.

I sold this car years ago bro, but yea if I remember correctly, it's two 10mm bolts up top under the hood, and one behind the fender liner near the front wheel. Very easy to swap out these headlights. You do have to kind of wiggle them out and putting them back in is a bit trickier than getting them out.
