Eww man! Is that header really stock on the 2J?

The project is coming a long nicely. I too am a big fan of classic Toyota kits. One of my all time favorites is the T's Project Aristo kit.

LOL! I'm convinced that this is a motor out of a different chassis other than a JZS160-161. No telling; but at least I had everything needed to swap it over and make it functional for the car. The motor that came out of the car has so much oil build up on the block that its ridiculous. I just don't have the time to clean up the engine bay right now. But once its time to drop in the 1.5jz; I'll make it clean as hell.

I too am a fan of the T's Project Aristo! So clean and tasteful!

Thats definitely not stock. All of the stock headers have cats before the collector on the 2JZ

Well after spending the majority of the afternoon getting it finished up; Francine is running!!! Its got a small injector leak on cylinder 2 but its more than likely a o-ring. Overall, I'm excited that its drive worthy! The chassis has 300k+ but that engine has 57K miles! and it sounds STRONG!

Here she is!

Yea it is! Now I can button it up, start cleaning it and get it nice before the heavy upgrades begin.

Glad to see it running! Hopefully you get your injector leak figured out. I know those O-rings are definitely 1 time use. They lose their shape after having been pressed in, with high heat, for so long. I'm looking forward to seeing whats next.

Thanks man! Yes it was a tear on the #2 ring! I just replaced them all since I had the rail and injectors out.Car runs great now and definitely can't wait for the upgrades. I need to tear down the old motor and get it to Jeff Tsai so he can start the GTE bottom end build up. More than likely will do that this Wednesday while I'm off.

The past couple days have been nothing but cleaning due to the previous owners being AVID DOG LOVERS! My wife helped me tackle the interior which still need the a, b, and c pillars reconditioned. Today I refinished the headlights. They were in dire need lol. Not bad for some 400, 600, and 1500 grit wet sanding and a Lowe's Ryobi buffer.

So here's the latest. Today I got back into work after being on a work assignment in Louisville, KY and one of the shop mechanics bomb rushed me and was like "dude we need to go get this car!!" He proceeds to tell me its $300 and has a immaculate black interior. Now I get very excited!! After verifying that this wasn't a fluke and the interest of him wanting to make this a drift chassis; I decided to go ahead and buy it. He's basically reimbursing me $200 which in all will get me a FULL black interior for $100! So here are some pics of the car that we just bought tonight!! BTW he's taking my tan interior to at least make it somewhat presentable while he works on it.
