Climate control rebuild thanks to Tanin Auto Electronix:
Upper door trim also thanks to Spencer (if you see this, send my control arms)
I have done a few other odds and ends like replace the window regulator in the door, I ended up piecing together one out of parts I had gathered over the years. Works good now. Replaced the alternator a while back. That's about it for now.
This car sure turned out differently from what I intended when I bought it. First, it was only a parts car, then I said well I'll get it running a daily it, then I said I'll paint it but still just a daily. It has turned out to be my favorite, it only lacks a few things for it to be close to being fully restored. I lack a good dash/air conditioner vents, EGR valve CEL, low level washer fluid alarm on all the time, rogue tail light issue that has the alarm set off, and a few other small odds and ends.

Just a quick update on this car. Yesterday I received a set of Auxito LED headlight upgrades I had ordered. Put them in and drove around on back country roads last night. The low beams are pretty good a slight step up from the Sylvania Ultras I had in it. The brights are really good. I would definitely suggest these as upgrades.
^^ I like the headlight upgrade! Are these 9006 bulb plug and play systems? Would love to see what they look like installed into the SC headlight housings!

When I get home tomorrow I will try to remember to snap a few pics. Also try to get a few pics on a dark road. Totally plug and play. There are a few minor nuances. Have to adjust the rotation to make sure the LEDs are at 3 and 9 o’clock but the Allen key is supplied. Simple adjustment. Have to make sure polarity is correct because their plug will go either way (no tab like the bulbs have) but both the plug and the new cord are polarity marked.
Hope you enjoy your lights as much as I have my LEDs, it's a new world. I attached my drivers with double sided tape to stabilize them.
By any chance are you in Ocean Springs?

No, I lived in Pascagoula and Gautier for several years, but live in north Mississippi now. Columbus area.
I’ve been following this thread since the beginning. First off, two thumbs up for sticking with it. Your commitment to making this a proper restoration without devaluing the car is refreshing. I love seeing these cars the way they were intended.
This is a small update on this build thread, really just ongoing minor maintenance. I recently had a left rear wheel bearing going out so yesterday I pulled the spindle, pressed the bearing race out of the spindle, pulled the races off of the hub, replaced all bearing races/seals, packed the bearing cups, and reassembled complete with torque of the axle nut. After the job was complete, since the weather was nice here in Mississippi I decided a proper wash was in order. The original chrome wheels are still styling, I just love the diamond white pearl color.
Small update. My lower control arm ball joints were severely worn out. Worn to point toe was out bad and wore a good set of tires on the inside edge because i wasnt watching it. Had one side but not the other, so used a worn one with better ball joint that i had to get it back together. Set the toe with straight edges just to get by til i get the other arm. Car tracks good so should be ok for a few weeks.
