Lexxiums low budget build 98 sc400 to 2jzge na/t
What's up my fellow Lexus sc owners!!
Well 2 years ago I was at the junk yard with my tools and stumbled across sc300, the light front end damage 93k mile 93 sc300 untouched just sitting there early in the morning.
I had this feeling I can't leave that 2jz alone with the front sump and everything attached I ended up buying it for $200.
I got it home unloaded it off my land cruiser and straight on the engine stand for disassembly.
so for the last 2 years I was slowly cleaning the block, buying parts, installing modding to make things work and make this 98sc a little faster than what it is .
the guy
The plan is after I get the rest of the few parts, this fall I'm planning on dropping in this 2jzge na-t into my sc400.
2jzge stock block/pistons/rods
tt head gasket
ff intake manifold
q45 modified tb, stock tps, 1uzfe iacv
gates racing timing belt
ac delete
distributor delete cap
Is300 vvti coilpacks/ igniter wired into the ecu harness
denso TT 6 heat range plugs
2jzgte ecu
Cx racing T4 turbo exh manifold, 3" do, 4" core Intercooler ( not in pics) .81ar exh , t67 snail, t4 5 layer gasket
tial bov, cx 3" Intercooler piping, 50mm wastegate
6 550 ostiger plug and play injectors
Apexi safc
Transmission is 97 Supra w58 with tripod
exedy 300 ftlb clutch with eBay pressure plate for the beginners like me
still items to get are TT fuel pump, wideband gauge, fuel lines, rubber motor mounts, hoses and fuel fittings
Enough with my bs, I'll show you how it all started in pics and go on
The guy in the pics isn't me, he helped me unbolting everything

Thanks for the kinds words guys, the only thing is holding me back from dropping this into my 98 is fuel lines and wiring.
mylex400: no I stopped messing with the 2000, she just sits in the garage most of the time drive her on rare sunny sundays.
the 2j to 400 body wiring is different, I'm afraid if I do the swap I won't be able to start it for months next thing you know it's a dead end road for the car and I have to drive 2000 /)
97sc300: yes I love my Fj80 beast also i6 4.5l of pure fury
i keep them up on their maintenance so they are all reliable toyotas for years now

MY wastegate cx dump pipe came in today so I bolted it up, but not sure if it's going to hit the frame or crossmember when installed it sticks out away from the engine too far
I may have to cut it up and route it back into my 3" cx downpipe so it's not nasty loud

Parts of Fuel system
Few parts and fittings came in, so I started to assemble the fuel rail, fpr and some fittings,
here are a few pics of the setup so far.
i couldn't decide if I should mount it on the strut tower or the rail, but they say the closer the the output the less pressure drop!! Fuel Rail it is!!
