Default '99 LS400 Progress Thread

Hello!
I figured i'd start a thread to keep track of my progress and pics. I'm new to this end of the forum but I was previously on the IS forum some years back when I owned an IS300. I've been thru a few cars since then and I'm back again with only my 2nd Lexus. It's a 1999 LS400 in Black/Gray two tone with an Ivory interior. She was an impulse buy. I had gotten rid of my Lincoln Town car a couple of months ago and missed the big body feel. I decided to try my luck with a Japanese big body and found her cheap cheap cheap. With that being said- she was dirty af. The previous owner hadn't really washed or cleaned it in weeks it looked like. It has the infamous P/S Leak and needs some work to the suspension up front including the P/S Rack. Anyways, i'll be posting my progress with the detail and work as i go!

Welcome to the club, I have to tell you fix that PS leak or you'll be replacing the PS and the alternator because the PS leaks onto the alternator usually. Trust me I found this out first hand man. Enjoy the car and take care of it and it'll last forever.

Headlight before
Finishing up the polishing
Headlight after
Also did the power steering pump replacement. I wish I had gotten more pics yet again but I get excited. Blocked off the control valve by breaking off the original connector and sealing the valve on the inside. Also replaced serpentine belt. Next is the power steering rack. All the new fluid leaked out of the boots
