Nice! What's the weight tally? Did you replace the interior liner? Been considering options since I rarely use the sunroof and my helmet hits the roof on track days...

I like the way you removed the glass rather than removing the entire interior (per factory manual).

Do you have any pics showing where the oem roof was cut? Likely pretty obvious once the side finish moldings are removed.

PM sent.

Per ZL its about 125 lbs off the top. The shop removed the welds with a grinder of some kind. They removed both windows and didnt have to drop the liner which is great since I have the welded in roll bar. The are replacing the center cross member bar as I guess the sunroof car bar is different then none sunroof car. Im sure you could reuse the old bar but they are 100%. Im not sure what the glue is but the said its better then the 3M Panel Bond 08115 that I recommended.

Cool

Man! 125 pounds of true weight loss at the highest point of the car? I hope you can attempt to quantify that for yourself but it's just outstanding!

Fantastic thread, I give it 10/10! Bravo sir.

Did you ever decide to do a carbon fiber trunk for weight loss?

Nice,
As far as the weight savings for the trunk, how much can you save going CF trunk? And which one did you go with? Seibon?

Nice. But a few questions...why did they use vice grips on a carbon fiber part? And if the roof is bonded in place, why did the drill it and use clecos?
