Not bad Larry, but I'll deduct 2 points for not completing a full rotation!

As you can see from my off-track excursion back in August, I knocked out a beautiful backward 360 after this over correction @5:49

In all seriousness, glad you kept her off the wall

-Mike

Was watching that close wall encounter on youtube the other day and was wondering what happened.

So the brakes locked up? all 4? or the fronts? I've never tracked my car so I have no idea how that could happen, any explanations would be appreciated and sorry If I'm thread jacking the build thread

His ABS was off due to the speed sensor issue. Otherwise, the ABS prevents this type of scenario from happening.

I had a speed senor fail when the shop installed the ARP wheel studs so no ABS, VSC, or traction control. It was a learning experience but I was managing ok just 3-4 seconds off my best laps since I wasnt breaking as late and as hard. Well I got a little to cocky and on this last session on the front straight going into turn 1 I was running 130. I hit the brakes hard at around the 3 mark but I think I lifted off too abruptly. The car pulled to the right got the tire on the grass and the rest is history. I was lucky couple feet sooner and I would have been head on into the wall.

wow ok thanks for the explanation, never knew that car would react like that under hard breaking without ABS working as it should, but makes sense.

Glad you managed to keep it off the wall .

Also if you don't mind me asking again, what program/application/unit are you using to show your speed, g-force etc.. on your vids?

Well it's been a great year I finished off with three track days in a week logging over 1,000 miles round trip. This was my first time at VIR and it's some track. It's widely thought of as one of the best if not the best track in the country. It was a two day Chin Motorsports event but second day got rained out for me after warm ups.
