Jim, with the wide tires it looks good without the added front lip. But it also looked good WITH the lip. Both work well. It comes down to personal preference

You mentioned you'll miss your cruise control on a long trip and I just realized that in your pictures you don't have it. Could you not find any other way to mount it without conflicting with the IC piping or did you just plan to take it out anyway?

As for the W58's health with a turbo, for what it's worth what I have heard is that you have to ease into the boost when accelerating. That might reduce the detrimental effects of shock loading on the small gears. It's still a borrowed time proposition with 600hp on a W58 but just be as kind to it as you can

I planned to remove the cruise control. On the 99 it was electronically controlled if I remember right. So I just scrapped it.

I plan to run the w58 all summer if possible and I’ll shop for a new tranny over the winter.

I got a velocity stack stack in the mail today. I’m going to paint it and use it for car shows. It’s pretty cool looking and shows off the turbo.

Jim, your car is a beautiful beast! Love that VVT-i torque curve, too!

I swear if you run that thing around your dealership too much you'll make some sporty minded customers think about building a turbo SC over a new RC-F ;D

its a Garrett gtx3076r gen 2. It’s the only turbo I’ve had on the car. 58mm :-). Makes excellent torque

I just looked it up and learned that it's a ball bearing design. Pretty cool

Jim, thanks for stopping by yesterday to show me your car!

I got a chance to ride in Jim's car yesterday......all I have to say is.......WOW!!!! What a great setup! The turbo comes on like a light switch and pulls VERY hard all the way through. Below 3500rpm's, it drives like a Lexus....smooth, quiet, comfortable, etc... Past 3500rpm's and hang on, because it pulls like a mother****er!!! I like how the EMU Black setup you have is performing, especially during normal driving. Fantastic setup Jim, I really like what you did with the car.

thanks Fadi! Yeah, it’s fun to drive and runs very well. Fixed my low idle problem and it’s even better.

Jimmy's car is beyond gorgeous.

I bet you surprised a few people on the streets with that car.
