me too! With the community changing and the parts becoming discontinued, it is going to be rare to see full restorations of these cars. Main reason I am jumping in doing this. I wish because I know that parts are becoming more and more rare by the day. Was just talking to Dmitry about how you can't get new 97+ tails anymore, only 10 set of headlights left in the country, no manual shift boot/bezels left, 97+ fogs are discontinued, many interior trim pieces... the list goes on. So I'm grabbing up everything I can before it is gone forever.

I really hope that part about the 97+ tails being discontinued isn't true. That's the only light I haven't ordered for my car yet, and I really want to have clear reverse lights instead of the yellow ones I have.

Wow that color is out of this world. Coolest blue paint I've ever seen. Hands down. So happy to see the car being closer to done.

confirmed. I checked again today just to verify. 95-96 are still available but scarce. There are a few sets for sale on eBay that are new. Selling for close to $500 for the set I believe. Dealer cost was like $170 a light. Damn

I might have to suck it up and buy them for $500 before those ones are gone too. Was the $170 price just for the housings? It seems too cheap for housing + harness.

Opening a box of brand new lights is always satisfying. What kind of protection are you planning to apply to those headlights to keep them crystal clear?

$170 was with harnesses. But again, that was dealer cost. Retail price was like $300 or something.

I dont know. Didn't really think about it. I probably won't drive the car so that'll help keep em clear lol

I was able to locate 2 sets complete with harness for a little under $400 shipped a pair, so I bought them both. One for my car and the other as a spare for my friend's SC. They should be here early next week.

Not driving the car is a good plan to keep them clear. I applied opti-lens to my headlights to help keep them clear, but I wish I had gone with a clear bra, so I could replace it when it gets scratched.

That looks like a very expensive paint job. Attention to detail is fantastic in your body shop. Might have to PM me about how much it would cost me to get one of my cars repainted there.

Car and paint are looking phenomenal. Looking forward to seeing the car put together. I'd love to swing by and admire it in person.

Please tell me this baby will be driven though. lol. I put Lamin-X clear on my headlights when I restored them a few years ago, and they are as nice and clean as the day I applied it.
