At Roebling Road Raceway messing around today.
Bought a new toy to check the tire temp.
Suprisungly, with my high camber front setting, tires are fairly close in temp from inside to outside.
Only a 6 degree difference between inside and outside.

Also weighted my car again on their 4 corner scale.
3962 without me in it.
The distribution seemed decent. May look into getting corner balanced soon.

Changed out the motor oil last week.
Just got results back from Daniel’s test lab.
RLI was drained out for testing at 1500 miles only because I’ve been tracking car pretty hard, and last oil tested (royal purple) had such bad results.
RLI test came back practically like new. Daniel suggested I can probably leave this oil in for like 10 track days, which is like the whole season!! Awesome. Too bad I drained it all out...

This time when the RLI was drained out, Amsoil SS went in.
Guess I’ll test the SS next year after 3-4 track days then test and see how that oil holds up compare to RLI.

Do you have any videos from the track days?

^^^ Have a lot of Go pro footage. Just too slack/busy to edit. The vids are usually full session long which is 20+ minutes. Sorta gets boring to watch after a few laps unless someone in front of me goes off track. It’s funny but driving vs watching the vid is so diff. The videos look like I’m going like 50mph.
Will try to edit a few over thanksgiving.
Been waiting to post a vid of my exhaust note since changing out mid pipe anyway.

Hey Ming! Where do you stand on your midpipes? Are you still running the ARH setup? Still having rubbing issues? I was under the impression our Meisterschafts were resonated (see attached pics). Is your setup like this? Maybe it’s not resonated at all and this is just “shielding” for the x-pipe. Any more discussions with PPE? Another thought for you. If your Meister mid pipe isn’t titanium (can’t remember) what about welding in some high flow cats? Some of the compact GESI cats from PPE or others should work well. Probably not much loss in power, would help with sound, and reduce gas smell you might be getting now.

I have GESI Cats, helps with gas smell, and tune down sound for street driving. I lose -3 HP but gain +3 TQ.

Cool. Any pics of them welded in? Do you think it helps with sound level too? Can’t tell from Sig if you have RR racing tune. CEL?

It helps muffles the sound a lil bit. It’s installed in the midpipe after the resonators before the axle back. So, I still had CEL since my headers is Catless. But now I have RRRacing Tune.

Hey Wes,
happy thanksgiving to you & family.

1st, Mesti mids are not resonated. Mine is a SS mid with a Ti axle back. Technically I can have someone chop resonators into the SS midpipe.

So...yes the ARH mids are still on car. Still rubs slightly when the pipes get real hot/expands but overall it’s “acceptable” since I don’t daily drive this thing. This is after grinding down center chassis brace and few heat shield bolts.
It did cut down sound a lot, which is what I needed.

I did not contact PPE about mid pipe. If they come out soon then I may inquire. Right now I’m just going with it.

For me, the gas smell isn’t a huge issue. Having high flow cats would be good though.
Will have to deal with emissions coming up in 2018.
Don’t have CEL so car should pass unless they notice the cat less gas smell or use a mirror to visually look for cats.
May have to be like Fahd!

Fahd,
Pic looks like the high flow cats are in front of resonator?
You said behind resonator?
I can’t even see the resonators. Did the Gesi replace the resonators?
Biggest issue is having room to weld in without rubbing. Especially my scenario because the ARH pipes are huge, which is what caused the rubbing issue to begin with.

Was this work done locally in Arizona? It really looks like what I would like to do with my IS F.
