What does the A/V control mean in the 2015 Lexus is250

 

With the right cables, you can mirror your phone or connect a device that plays videos to your screen. (this is off an iPhone 6S, ebrake enabled, non-bypassed)

 

Looks like you need a 4 pole to composite cable. Pretty useless unless you have an analog source.

If you really want to do something with a digital source, it looks like you need to have a huge chain of converters.

For example if you want to do an iPhone, you have to:

1. Lightning to HDMI adapter
2. HDMI to composite adapter
3. Composite coupler
4. Composite to 4 pole 3.5mm cable
5. Say goodbye console storage space
