anyone replaced their air conditioning/heat servomotors?
My AC gives me a 42 code, which is the air inlet servomotor circuit. I'm just not sure what the actual part number is for that, and where it is located. |
removed my in-car phone that came in my 98, also removed the phone ECU that was in the trunk.
I was having issues with my radio cutting out and my A/C intermittently changing blowing strength, after removing the phone ECU, haven't had those issues since. |

so....i did a thing. Got myself another 99 Atlantis Blue Mica that i found for sale around me. I'm gonna fix this one up too, and probably sell the 98.
99 on left, 98 on right. Swapped the coilovers to the 99 already as well as the mint GS350 wheels. They're clones, one just has heated seats and HID's and the other doesn't lol http://i65.tinypic.com/20hul2x.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/2eksv0w.jpg |
wow what are the odds finding two of the same color and you owning them!

....and selling the 98! Just need to find a buyer that will appreciate and understand the reliable ass car that it is! |
Nice work David.I’m impressed with your wrenching skill. :agreed:
|
boy this 99 is quite the pain in the ass. It's still got a bunch of issues I need to address.
A/C Fan is not kicking on (already replaced 30a RDI fuse & coolant fan switch) next i will check the relays under the driver side headlight. Door lock acutators are all messed up, might end up having to do all 4, I just don't understand how they all went bad. My 98 never had a single issue with them. Keyless entry won't program, I think due to the lock actuators. Drivers side seat belt is absolute garbage, probably wouldn't do much for me in an accident, it sits loose on my body and does not tighten up on its own. |
update:
fixed the A/C / RDI fan . The relays had a bunch of gunk / grease on the metal contacts. Not quite sure how it ended up there, but after removing and cleaning the relays and reinstalling them , the fan came back to life and my car no longer overheats at idle with the A/C on!! |
my 99 seems to get decent gas mileage :D
