Default AznRacer Build Round 2

Hello everyone, so last year I parted out my 2009 ls460 and sold it to a guy locally. 2 weeks afterward I picked up a 2013 ls460 fsport. Couldn't stand the stock height and looks so the mods began

Since the fsport came with oem air suspension I ordered the data system directly from Japan.

Now on with the wheels I bought these HRE 640r from out of state. They came exactly how you see them. The seller didn't use any package or anything just slap on the labels and off it go to me time for a complete rebuild on these wheels. I dissassembled them and can't decide between silver or black. Also picked up another set of HRE 546r locally and it's a tough decision on which one to use. I end up going with the 640r and got them powder coated metallic brilliant sparkle silver and boy it's a bright silver also picked up new barrels that had new tires on them already Time to put some work on on these wheels. I'm going to strip everything down completely and reseals while the centers are getting powder coated.

LOVE IT! Another F-Sport in the house!

Love the lowered stance, do you drive it at that height? How's it feel vs. the stock height. Would you say you dropped it another inch or so front and back?

I can't believe those wheels got sent like that! What a &*%^$! Glad you got them worked on and I'm sure it'll be stunning. Looking forward to the progress of your build!

Nice, love HRE wheels. You can also send them back to HRE and get them done in the custom finishes they offer new wheels. Not sure on the cost, I'm sure it's expensive, but they offer some nice finishes. I think the custom finishes were $500 for all four wheels on top of the new wheel prices. You can call an authorized dealer and they can help you.

Thanks everyone,

I picked up the center spokes from the powder coater this morning all washed and clean. Also had the barrels strip and clean last night. So everything will be ready for assembling today.

Lookin' good so far! So I take it you decided on silver or are you going to swap both faces to see which ones you like better?

Kinda curious myself how the black would look.

Either way patiently waiting for your next update!

I have another set in 21" all black will try those on one day when I'm bored of these.

Had time to assemble everything last night. Here's some tips for anyone looking to rebuild their 3 piece wheels at home. 1 always use threadlocker on the bolts. 2 run a masking tape line along the groove where the silicone is going into to get a nice smooth even line. 3 use a credit card, plastic card in my case I use the plastic piece they use to apply bondo to spread out the silicone evenly.

Finally got them assembled and ready to roll. However the rear is 1" wider and the front doesn't clear the fsport brakes would need at least a 5mm spacers to clear. I only had a 15mm spacers laying around so I'm using it for test fitting. I have a few options to make them fit if I decide to keep them or not.
