Update...
Finished installing the four crossover in the side pillars between front and rear doors, started front door speaker install...removed the crappy alpine s 4" replaced with NVX 5.25 sub w/ tweeters in factory front tweeter location. also using all new 16 gauge speaker wire and getting rid of factory speaker wire throughout. Still have the driver front door to do and then run speaker wire to the amp....progress.
Indeed It is just sitting on the floor mat right now..I plan on using the top two mounting holes to secure it after I get it tuned to my liking. Also I've mounted the crossovers on side pillars cause I like them exposed for viewing and out of the doors for less abuse from opening and closing. Just mounted the bass **** and usb cord under the glove compartment...also have the 10 inch sub in the back seat for now...plan on making a custom box that sits center of the rear seat.
i put 5.25 in my front doors with tweeters also..wish i would have put 6's in.
Yes I would've loved to put 6.25 up front, but would be really pushing the size to fit OEM speaker box. I very happy with 5.25 components all around front and rear...
ive got 6's in the rear with 6x9's in the rear deck plate....all JL audio. i have a kicker amp and sub. best thing i ever did to my car..stock stereos are garbage
UPDATE!! JUST ORDERED R1 CONCEPT PREMIER SLOTTED ROTOR FRONT AND REAR!! 2-3 DAYS TO MAKE THEM AND 3-5 DAYS SHIPPING...SHOULD BE A NICE COMPLIMENT TO THE WHEELS AND GIVE ME A NICE STOPPING POWER AGAIN.
Well, Rotors arrived today from R1 Concepts. After opening the box come to find out they shipped wrong stuff..
I ordered Front & Rear Premium Slotted Rotors...
Received Rear Premium Cross Drilled Rotor & Front Black Zink Rotors...
So I called R1 Concepts and discussed what the issue was and asked if they have any quality control? My concern was that not one of the rotors matched what the order sheet said. After much apologies the customer service agent told me I could keep the upgraded cross drilled rotors for the rears and that he would ship out front cross drilled rotors to match with no charge. Although I wanted slotted I agreed to this and ask for free brake pads all around and was granted the request. So, I am awaiting front Cross drilled rotors and new ceramic brake pads front and rear. I'll update and review once I receive them.
