Default 1.5jz to be born!!

Well I recently bought a sc300 1jz swap r154 the whole 9 and I was ****ing with the idea of going 1.5. Doesn't seem to bad. Got a great deal on a 2jzge short block $100 can't beat that. Also been reading for about.. A year or so now. I've got a list of parts that will hopefully make this swap quick and clean. If I'm missing anything or have tips speak up.

Parts purchased:
2jzge short block
Arp headstuds
2jzgte head gasket
2jzgte timing belt
1200cc injectors (currently have 760cc)
Water pump pipe
All new gaskets
Walbro 450lph pump

Hopefully I'm not missing anything. Goal is about 600-700whp on e85

Glad to see it stayed with someone on the site and an enthusiast.

Good looking project you got there.

Best of luck the 1.5JZ

Not let's get a wider wheel to fill out those flares!

Are you having the 2J block built or just freshen up? I feel like there are a lot of parts missing to get the swap done but I hope I'm wrong lol

Looks good. just my 2cents why not just do everything now while you have the block apart?

So besides the water pump pipe, is everything else interchangeable and bolt on while swapping the block? I have a stock GE block ready to swap for the 1J but didn't wanna tear it all apart without having everything ready? I have seen several people with tons of other parts listed and then others with just really basic stuff. Is there anything else needed or fabbed?

Pretty much for the basics to get it to run is that stupid pipe and a new timing belt. But I have heard that you need the crank gear from the gte engines not sure if that's necessary. Something to look into. Everything else u technically could just swap it over. Obviously u need a head gasket n etc. but the pipe and timing belt is all you need. Just make sure u get the right HG so your CR isn't off or something you're not prepared for.
