:D
Building an original 5 speed 96 SC300

Owned since May of 2014 with goals to make it a Daily Driver/VIP/Drifter

First owner had it for 13 years and she took very good care of her up to 243xxx miles
I bought it in Florida (no rust) on vacation and brought it back to Philly (she experienced her first winter in the snow)

Replaced:
Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, radiator, clutch fan, resurfaced flywheel, pressure plate & clutch, UCA, inner & outer tie rods, front and rear brake pads, steering rack bushings, LCA bushings, heater hoses, steering rack, CAS, ECU, battery, rotors and pads, ground wires, alternator, oxygen sensors, etc.

More to come

I wanted to start the full interior restoration and get that done before I worked my way to the exterior things but my shocks are going so I decided to focus on Stance and drive ability instead of waiting til the winter was over. Once I do that I'll finish the interior with racing seats and harnesses. I figured I could slide all winter and practice on the new setup and get a better idea of the new things that come with being lowered and fatter wheels. I won't really slide on dry ground until I get a LSD w/ solid bushings and a lighter driveshaft. I believe in footwork first before performance. Full suspension upgrade. I'm working from back to front. After that stage I'll begin the NA-t phase from bottom to top. Lighter flywheel and performance clutch, bearings, metal head gasket and ARP studs to handle the boost before it comes. Then a AEM V2

After all those are secure I'll get the CxRacing kit for the NA 2J and maybe 272 cams....aiming for 350hp on the street to 500hp for the track... I live about an hour from Englishtown NJ so I'll be hitting Clubloose and the East Coast Bash where Drift Alliance reign right now...

I almost purchased the black ES8 with gold rivets. They are some of my favorite.
Suggestion.....shave all your badges, black out the silver trim and get one gold package "L" for the rear to tie the gold rivets in.
I shaved my gold badges and you can have them if I can find them and you want them. I no longer have any gold on the car so that plan is over.
They will look great if you loose all the chrome.

You must be reading my thoughts.. I was looking up lastnight about blacking out the chrome trim... I would have to go gold badges in order to blend. Its a good look... my theme

Sand the trim well and prime if you can. My paint peeled after a year. Dip lasted months.

Even if you had only one rear gold badge it would tie it in. I love that clean look. My 400 has them all shaved, Just one badge on the 300.
