I have been a huge fan of the 1JZ head for a long time. Heck, anything made by Yamaha for a car is a blessing.

Youtube "Great White Supra" and see this 1.5JZ monster!!!!

What ecu do you plan on running with the 1.5JZ setup?
Cool, I'm going Apexi Power FC

The piston domes aren't it... a vvti head needs the vvti bottom end for the oil feed line for the vvti solenoid on the head.

Default I completely scrapped this idea

I figured I could slide all winter and practice on the new setup and get a better idea of the new things that come with being lowered and fatter wheels. I won't really slide on dry ground until I get a LSD w/ solid bushings and a lighter driveshaft. I believe in footwork first before performance. Full suspension upgrade. I'm working from back to front. After that stage I'll begin the NA-t phase from bottom to top. Lighter flywheel and performance clutch, bearings, metal head gasket and ARP studs to handle the boost before it comes. Then a AEM V2

After all those are secure I'll get the CxRacing kit for the NA 2J and maybe 272 cams....aiming for 350hp on the street to 500hp for the track... I live about an hour from Englishtown NJ so I'll be hitting Clubloose and the East Coast Bash where Drift Alliance reign right now...

doing something UNIQUE instead

Default Bussin' the work down

it took about an hour to disassemble and get the linkage right ... I used all (4) bodies from one unit and (2) bodies from the other

after being hot tanked 20 years off gunk removed

A clear before & after difference
