Default Brake upgrade

Upgraded the brakes from an LS 400. Fairly easy swap. The caliper rubbed abit on the inside of the passenger side rim. Debating between wheel spacers or just get out the grinder and flap disc?

Here is the SC400 front caliper compared to the LS 400

It's actually been on the race track just the one time in willows. We are prepping the car now for the race in October at Buttonwillow race way. I am starting to pull weight from inside the car and triming the inner fender wells. thanks for asking Dhenn.

Today I pulled the tranny out!

i love race car builds! you go man, and nice on keeping the motor, 1uz is a beauty. if you haven't already take the cats and resonators out, that should let it breath a little, and also look up BFI, it probably doesn't add power but definitely makes throttle response better. ABS is easy to remove as well, get some brake line T connectors from a 90s corolla or celica. If you wanna remove the AC i can post a link to a shorter belt that works for that setup.

I am just starting a build for Lemons using a 1992 LS400. After stripping the interior out, how did you overcome the suspension lift? My car has raised over 4 inches just from removing the interior. I have about 2 degrees of positive camber right now. I figure I can cut springs, but I am looking for any advise on the best way to lower the car back down. Also, any advise on the whole car is welcome.

Hi , I actually cut the coil springs to lower the car about two inches, after replacing the worn out struts it rides nice and tight. We did have to get the front end aligned but they were able to do it no problem.. and thanks for the compliments!

Do you remember how much you cut out of the front and rear springs? I am trying to not cut out too much.

Hey man, yes I cut 1 1/2 coils from the front and 1 coil from the rear. We wanted to keep the stance somewhat aggressive. I just looked for a picture on my computer but couldn't find one.. sorry about that. I am still removing weight from inside the car. Does anyone know how to pull the dash? From you tube videos it looks like i have to go through the gauge cluster first.. Not sure if the whole thing is bolted or in with clips. Once all the weight is removed Ill go back and adjust the stance.. We are still waiting for our trans swap kit from Collins and are super excited to do the install!

The dash was tough to get out. There are bolts everywhere. Behind the cluster, parkbrake, glovebox, and the center console and the radio.

I just started the cage work. Fortunately I have a friend who has done several so the learning curve is not as steep.
