Cheers.

Yes, the F is a really rare sight on UK roads at the best of times, but to see and hear one like mine is a totally unique experience!

Had one old boy on a pedestrian crossing recently with a walking stick who stopped half way to admire the car! He gave me a big thumbs up, carried on across the road, then stopped and cupped his ear! I gave it some beans, and when I looked back, he was waiving his walking stick in the air and smiling from ear to ear!

I was also asked by a guy who was drag racing at the strip on Sunday in a really nice spec'd GTR to fire up my car and give it a few rev's! He told his mate it sounded awesome, and better than a C63!

It's nice to be doing something that's unique.

Forum member PDP180180 went to great lengths to get some of the parts for his Smoky Granite Mica 2008 IS F.

Thank you!

Really didn't expect to wake up and see this on here.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Huge thanks go to all my friends and colleagues aka "mules" for all their help in making this build possible. Couldn't do it without them.

Thought I'd share a photo of my biggest haul from the States! Lol.

This was coming back from Tampa in January.

The two cardboard boxes contain my rims, the other box has my refurbished headlights, and that red suitcase is a full-size item to give some perspective!

Thanks again to Derek for the write up.

Cheers.

So had an update from SRD regarding the install of my RR-Racing USRS, and my BC BR coilovers with Swift springs. Here are a few photos they sent me to show the progress they have made on the car.

Think they've set the height perfectly for my needs.

Can't slam it in the weeds due to the speed bumps/sleeping policemen I have up and down the road outside my house!

Just doing the alignment for me to finish things up.

Really pleased with their work and attention to detail. Been great having regular photos and updates of their progress.

100% found the right shop to do my PPE headers as and when I can afford them!

Great looking car and some nice mods.

I like the front carbon grill surround - did you manage to find the seller or a similar item on ebay for those of us who want to source the same?

I can see a few chinese made versions on ebay, but they all list as being suited for IS250/350's and not ISF's.

Is there any difference in size/specs for the ISF vs IS250/350 grill surrounds that you know of or would one of these suit?

Thank you for the kind words.

Means a lot.

Pretty sure the grill was listed for all IS models? Like the replica Wald spoilers, you're taking a chance when ordering from these Chinese suppliers.

Mine was from Hong Kong from memory? May have been this guy, but doesn't look like he's offering the carbon version at the moment?

Mine was pretty good, but did need some fettling to make it fit right.

It's not a mega expensive part, but you do need to appreciate there is a risk involved.

Cheers.

So, think it's time for a much needed update!

No photos available at this stage, but rest assured they'll follow as soon as possible.

The centre console, cup holder, ashtray lid, and custom centre air vent gauge pod holder all went off to my carbon skinner Paul two weeks ago.

Hoping they'll be back by Xmas, if not sooner to finish the interior off. As you may recall, I've had the rear centre console between the seats, and all the door switch covers re-skinned in dark carbon already.

I've also bought three Defi Advance CR gauges to fill the new gauge pod holder.

Went for Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, and Water Temperature in the end.

The Advance CR is a nice design, and mine are the 60mm with the black face (will light up white).

Unfortunately Defi UK didn't have any Advance CR's in stock, so will need to get these in from Japan(4-6 weeks).

Think that'll be it for my F this year, but already got plenty in mind for next year, starting with headers!

Cheers guys.

The build is coming together nicely, Peter!

Great ride height and nice list of mods you have going.

Always a great time right now. Enjoy the holidays, eat some good food, and before you know it, more car parts are to arrive early next year.

Great way to end this year and ring in 2016!

Thanks so much guys.

Got the Defi gauges along with a universal adaptor for the oil side of things. Will source a suitable adaptor for the top rad hose shortly so that is all ready to go.

Hoping to get the last of the interior bits back from my carbon guy soon.

Also made some enquiries on replacement seats from Cobra here in the UK.

Should be able to make that happen in the new year as well as a load of other things!

Getting my RR titanium intake soon as well.

Very nice build.

I didn't catch the details on your wheels and tire sizes

Specs are 19 x 9 ET 35 with MPSS 245/35/19 up front, and 19 x 10 ET 42 with 275/30/19 at the rear.

Thanks.

Love those wheels but too bad they are discontinued and I haven't been able to find a used set.

Does it rub on the fenders at all with tyre combo you have right now? I know the MPSS have a chubby sidewall.
