Just curious did your sc originally have 30 40LS tranny if so, when you changed to the A340LE do you have a diagram of the wiring you had to do to make it work well and shift smoothly?
Yes it had the 30-40ls trans factory. I removed the 30-40ls valve body and after modifications, installed it into the aristo A340e.

Small update. New engine runs great. Installed an aditional Walbro 450 fuel pump and staged it in the ems. Added an aditional fuel line and filter. Built a custom fuel rail with a feed at each end and center return. Also installed the new FIC 1650cc fuel injectors.

With the new plugs gapped at .022, I strapped the car down on the dyno and went to work. Got some spark issues at 27psi so called it good. Don't think there is much left in the turbo. It performed great and better numbers than I had expected. Going to take it to the track and see what she does. I don't expect the stock trans to hold, but I have not expected it to hold in any of the near 100 passes it has done so flawlessly. It will break, only time will tell when. Didn't take any video but here is the dyno sheet.

27psi dyno sheet. (Dip is from 50% throttle until 6,000rpm)

I will update this thread with my track data and info.

Thanks
Lawrence.

have any pictures of your finished fuel system?
mainly curious to see how you ran your lines in and out of the car off the fuel cap or wherever you started it from

Got to bump this ... am putting together an engine from parts I already have . Would definitely learn a lot from it.

what is the biggest turbo can you fit in there with that IS300 threadstone manifold ?

I read at SF that you now have a PT-6870 in there . No fitment issues ? I still have two unused of those turbos so maybe I can use it if there are not big issues on fitment with that manifold.

Never had an NA-T setup so trying to get more ideas.

It's been a while. I now have the 6870 on the car. Turbo was a direct replacement for the 6266. Visually it still looks exactly the same as before. That's probably the biggest/little turbo you can fit without adding a spacer. It works quite well.

Update: I threw a set of Ccw classics on the car. Rear tires are now 315/35/17 MT dr's. Car now makes 833whp@29.5psi through the same stock auto. Took it to the track the other day and finally went 9.98@141. 60 foot was not to good considering the tire (1.58).

Hello, I'm basically doing something similar to you. But I'm really curious about the Aristo Trans. So you basically pulled out the valve bodies off the SC300 and dropped it into the Aristo? Will this work on a 97 transmission? Specifically, how much did you shim? 6mm? 8mm?

Also if you don't mind, where and how did you modify the valve body? Did you drill some holes? If so where and how much larger?

Sorry about all the questions, but I think you have something here! Good numbers!

Any update? Did you sell the car or are you still running the same setup?

I think he got the car into the deep 9s before selling it.

Correct, 99sc300 valve body was inserted into Aristo A340e transmission. shims were 8mm, The valve body was modified. I will do a write up on transmission mods as I have been getting allot of interest over the last year.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I ended up installing a Precision 6870 turbo and a set of BC 272 cams. Same boost level now made 852whp@31.5psi. With some 315/35/18 MT dr's car went 9.5@145 with a 1.43 60'. Transmission was untouched and after the sale in January, The car is in perfect working condition. New owner is planning on taking it to the track. He has run it on the street quite a bit though.

I would estimate when I had owned the car, the trans had over 120 passes and 25k street miles. New owner in the last 2 months has put 7k+ miles on the car and after the first service, everything looks great. Just a spark plug and oil change and sent him on his way.

Thanks for the Interest and I will update this thread if the trans ever decides to fail. I would really like to know what fails personally.

Thanks
Lawrence

Thanks for the update. I am surprised the trans holds! Did you ever test going WOT in drive (D)? Or have you tested going from 3rd to D in the quarter? Would like to know if the Aristo trans can hold WOT runs when put in D.

wait Lawrence, did you put in a JZS161 aristo trans valve body or JZS147. Was the trans from a VVTI engine? If not then it's just the same from as the SC300 from what I understand.

To update on this thread too, my real aristo had the trans fail due to the filter getting clocked due to the converter overheating from back to back 1/4 mile passes. When I replaced the whole trans (had lots of spares 100$ a piece used) I shimmed the accumulators according to the SF thread here.

http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...ers-take-a-nap)

However, the other missing info was the drilling of the valve body to allow more flow to hold the power between shifts. that's a huge find from what I didn't know.

Lawrence! I'm going to hound you for a redux for me!!

You are my hero! I plan on following in your footsteps with my 2000!

With respect to using the Aristo Transmission, there is rumor that you won't be able to control it with the NA ECU
(https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...nto-sc300.html).

AEM V2 doesn't have transmission control, did you run into any issue with the shifting of the transmission? Or was mod a lot more straightforward than people make it seem?

VVTI is life.
