The first owner let her paint on the roof and the left rear side. The paintjob was horrible! But almost why repaint is that i have to rebuild front and rear fedners. I need round 6cm more place at the rear (round 2.36"). This is the actually status https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...17c772aa23.jpg Lately i found 6" stainless steel outer rims. This was a looooong way. :) |

Today i remove the front fenders and work lil bit on the Frame. But nothing to cut somthing. I make more place and now sits deeper then before. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...4562e32546.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...53b548f4e7.jpg This is big fault! Theres one of two tire geotines under the fender. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...41b44e52bb.jpg Here the secound geotine. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...9aed5664a5.jpg After maltertation with an hammer. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...f75c1fbbe1.jpg Here you can see it bether. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...9cbd957535.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...ab310e4771.jpg Lil bit camber... :) https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...8a3157c8f2.jpg |
Nice work Deni, but you are going to have to reliefs in those geotines as you call them, where the harnesses are routed around the sharp edges to ensure you don't have issues.
Well you are not going to have to do it, but i would highly suggest it, just to be sure the harness will never rub into the edge and cut through the sheathing on the harness causing all manner of electrical issues! looks awesome man! Excited to see the final product! |
Thanks Shme,
you mean this here? https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...4ec21fc6e9.jpg Yea isnt done. There i put edge protections. And the harnes i allready mountet higher. Im car-electritian and know about the problems with those sharp edges. First time after i put the Lex on the ground, i didnt know about the harnes under the fender and that the tire rubs on it. The result was that the entire electrical system as i drive with 210kmh has failed! Belive me that wasnt funny. I can only warn everyone to modify the harnes as fast as possible! |
Short question.
Anybody know how is the quality of those LBJ and if fits on the 99 Model? http://catalogs.raybestoschassis.com...1&catalog=1000 and http://catalogs.raybestoschassis.com...2&catalog=1000 |
Out of curiosity, what do you have for the air horn setup? (Couldn't help but notice the air horns next to the wiper reservoir) Also, for those "geotines" (though I usually refer to them as "seams"), what did you do to trim them like that? It looks more than just a hammer, so I was wondering.
|
hey deni i always thought you were already on here, just not as active. good to see more plans for the upcoming year!
and i heard the raybestos LBJs are decent but i recommend going with OEM lexus parts especially if you are running negative camber RCAs. |
Yeah Deni, those are the spots along with that one where your harness loops around and into the engine bay.
Car is coming along great! How are those rod-end boots treating the BV arms? ;) |

The Air Pressure Horns are normal, no "music" or somthing but verry loud Horns, from Bosch. They sounds like hmm the Horns from Ferrari. Yea the "Geotines" i hammerd with an piece of wood and hammer. So thats there more place to get it lover. Without to cut anything. I dont like to cut somthing on my lex. The UPCA holes made big pain in me. And the futured rear fender cut to...

Polyurethane bushings for the Strut Bar SPF2989K and rear diff pinion mount SPF2769K. :) After that i have all bushings from Polyurethane. |
