I still run cats, feel too guilty about global warming if i don't, lol.
Without them the turbo does run better, but its not a huge difference. If it was a track car then it would be more appropriate.

Beautiful ! Just be careful taking videos of your running car and say you are driving then posting them on the net. I was warned by my buddy who is a police officer about it. They can use them against you and give you a ticket if you are over speeding. They can tell if you are above the speed limit !
What did I tell you ? NJ and NY is like driving in the moon whose craters had been patched with asphalt ..lmaol. No matter what coilovers you use , you will feel the uneveness of the roads....sorry
, just got a terrible driving experience through those states this past summer doing 4450 miles on an East Coast Road Trip.
BUT ... your car runs beautifully .. Kudos ! Now you can talk sh?t...lmaol , since you have a proof of what you are talking about . You did it ! I need a shotgun ride

.Those videos were taken in Mexico, long ago, by a friend, who is a video special FX pro who edited them.....
Seriously!

Cant wait till you get here next man!

Pennsylvania roads are not much better......on a daily basis I am constantly swerving around huge potholes, construction, and just overall terrible road conditions......
I see people in my rearview cussing up a storm when I slow down to go through a rough patch of road....

I clearly remember that exit 1B Harlem River Drive to get into the City That Never Sleeps , hahaha

.. but NJ
....
Yeah bro..... Wrong turn I guess. You should get GPS so you don't keep "accidentally" winding up in Tijuana and Juarez.
Some of those shows down there are incredible though....

Made a slightly ugly but functional intake for the car. I had to use a big silicon coupler for the flexibility to get between my intake pipe, BOV, AC lines and temporarily exposed fan. The air should be way cooler than 8 inches from the hot side and manifold. I'll paint it so it looks a bit better.
Catman mentioned in the cooler weather, he hits boost cut (or something) on almost every pull, I was doing that yesterday for the first time in the cooler weather. Why is it easier to hit cut when it is cooler out? I know the cooler air is denser but I didn't notice a power increase necessarily, just more frequently hitting cut it seems.
There is no way in NYC, as dense as traffic is, I can look at my tach even for a second, much less watch it. Do you guys just get used to the sound of 6500RPM and feel it coming? I want to stay in boost as long as I can but I don't enjoy this abrupt cut.
I'm pretty sure I will get much better at feeling the shift points over time..

Boost Cut ? No problem ...... didn't you buy a MapECU ? install it while weather is good and enjoy your car more . Once your nasty winter snow comes in ... ain't fun anymore .
you and i go to Tijuana , what do you say ? no wives .. ahahahaha . After that we probably are divorced .

You might have to look into a BCC in order to eliminate the boost cut if it's hitting at 13-14psi or so. Double check what boost your hitting, it may be higher in the colder weather like I mentioned before which is why your hitting cut now!
With the safc offsetting the map voltage 22%, I don't experience any boost cut at 16-17psi.

And yes...... this would likely end in divorce! lol

I am undecided on the MapECU3 at this point. My tuner says he charges the same money to tune SAFC, MAPECU, AEM V2.
If I sell the MAP3 and the Wifi update, I'll be half way to an AEM V2 and the tune costs the same. I am not sure the MAP3 makes sense any more. I am a bit lost on this decision at this point as I DONT want to loose drivability at all. I guess 2-3 tuner visits should get me to a nice place with it.
What do you guys think?
MAP-ECU is pretty simple to figure out on your own.....or have a buddy that knows how to use it....
Luckily I have a few Supra guys that swear by the MAPECU around me so they have given me a crash course on it.....the biggest thing is to wire in wideband 02 into it so you can log your driving session into the MAPECU and then you can fine tune it to make sure you have enough fuel or if you need to pull some out..
There a lot of base maps to get you started driving your car...
Biggest thing is getting the car to start....once you get past that point its pretty simple....
I have yet to install mine either.....but plan on getting in put in and see how much fuel I can get out of the 440's before car gets put away for the year....

Even has 2-step, rat-a-tat-tat->!
Maybe I'll stay with it. I even installed Windows on my Macbook Air and got the software working with the unit. It could actually be better. Hmmmmmm......
And
I already have it......
