Default Dsrxloreto's weak build thread

Hello my name is Loreto, and I'm new to this Lexus car scene. I wanted a car that I could modify, drive around, and not have to worry about it getting stolen. A good friend mentioned that his neighbor was willing to sell his. I checked it out, and bought it. I'll try to keep track of progress that I make on the car, as much as I can.

these are my last two builds. like i said im new to the lexus scene, since im accustomed to honda
91 crx 250whp best time of 11.4

2000 honda civic 200whp

Here's a picture when I first bought the car. I took next door to my buddies house to immediately show it some love by giving it a wash.

And here is a present that my buddy Kenneth over at weksos industries hooked me up with. If you haven't heard of weksos, check them out at www.weaksauceparts.com they have sources to all sorts of oem and aftermarket parts

I knew I could lower it by shortening the shafts on the height sensors so I got under the car for the first time and tinkered.

I thought it was still too high, so I made some brackets to trick the sensors some more

The interior was kind of beat up in certain areas, like the driver's &passenger's arm rest, center console lid, and the shift ****. I took the center console lid off and took it to an upholstery shop to get it wrapped in gator. I know not everyone wont like it, but to each his own

Also installed a vertex shift **** thanks to mike at weksos

And a picture of both installed...

I hope this doesn't seem like I've been doing hella stuff to my car in such a short amount of time, but I've had the car since September, so there's been a good amount of time between the things I've been doing. Here's a junction produce pillow set from again... Weksos lol

I tried on a set of 19" Scaras, but I felt like they were too small in diameter for such a big car.

I personally felt like the car needed a taller wheel. I see cars on here pull 19's off nicely and I think they look really nice, but when I had them my car it really bugged me for some reason. So here is the car with 2 different sets of iforged wheels

Back in January, I started the year on a bad foot. Went through some personal problems, and got rear ended by some dude that was driving like a douche.

sometime after that, I installed LEDs all over the car. I don't have them pictured but I converted all the mood lights which were originally amber to white LEDs

Looks good. Do you have a recommended upholstery shop? I notice you live in CA. Just looking around for a good shop.

Glad you like it!

It's always been a thing on my list to get a new set of keys because the original set of keys was ghetto rigged. The previous owner didn't want to pay for new keys so he drilled out the old key, fiber glass'd it and painted it.

I covered the key because apparently you can cut an exact key, from just a picture of the old one which is how I got my new set of keys... Pretty scary if you ask me
