But there's a twist to it!

Before going out and purchasing the 3IS Fsport Air Intake kit, I noticed that the 2IS kit had a pipe with a Fsport emblem welded into place.

This got me curious and I wanted it more than the plain pipe that comes with the 3IS kit. So I did some research and found out that I can buy all the pieces individually in the kit as well as buy the 2IS pipe individually.

A small part of me was worried that it may not fit but since all the other 2IS intake out in the market transferred over to the 3IS just fine then it should in theory work. I priced it out purchasing it separately and it came close to purchasing a full 3IS kit. I went ahead and placed order for all the individually pieces.

Installing it......

And what do you know it works and looks awesome. Most people will miss this small detail but those that do spot it would appreciate it.

Here's a video of installing it....Subscribe to my youtube channel for more videos in the future like this!

Here is are the individual part numbers if anyone else wants to do the same as i have.

3IS parts numbers:
PTR03-53141-AA /// F-Sport Filter
PTR03-53141-AB /// F-Sport Air Box Upper
PTR03-53141-AC /// Bellows & Clamp Kit
PTR03-53141-AE /// Coupler & Clamp Kit

PTR03-53141-AD /// Intake Tube 3IS
PTR03-53083 /// Intake Tube 2IS (raised Fsport)

Here is part number for the actual one meant for the car as a full kit with all pieces together if you don't want to go all crazy like I did

One last shot of the JDM headlights with the clear reflector now with the bumper back on the car. So in love with this right now.
I found a great deal locally, for an F sport intake. Part #: PTR03-53100. Does anyone know if the tube will fit the 3is?I believe the only difference is the lower intake box (which I will either cut or buy the f sport lower separately) Thanks!

Must you quote my entire post of the Fsport intake install?
The answer to your question was in what you quoted.

Nice to see I'm not the only one that appreciates clear reflectors. The amber ones always look so out of place... especially on certain color vehicles or cars with wild colored wheels that don't match the amber.

If you are getting into photography see if you can get your hands on the Sony RX100...a little cam that packs a lot and creates awesome pictures.

Quite possibly the best IS in existence. Always top drawer. Everything well thought out and tastefully executed. My hats off to you sir(specONE)

Its been a while since i've updated this thread.
I have still been tinkering and building the car but just at a oddly slower rate.
I had listed the car for sale a couple of months back but no takers so far.
In the background I still had the urge to touch the car even if it may leave my hands soon.
At any rate, let the mods continue

That Chinese Android Interface box that I had mentioned earlier in this thread, I have kinda given up on, poor customer service support and never helped me resolve the issue I pointed out to them.
Instead I went with GROM Audio VL2 Vline module. Integrates with the vehicle the same fashion as the other one but better American support
I will provide more details and review on it when i have some free time. i've been meaning to get a video review of it up of what I think of it but just haven't had much time lately.

Here's a photo of how I have it mounted in my glovebox

Google Maps running on the factory Display

I also installed this USB Charging Voltage Meter Combo thingy

Another work in progress mod,
2017+ Navigation Joystick control. I picked it up because I like the palm rest design more than the older. It is plug and play and the only button that does not do anything is the Back button. All the other buttons function as intended. The Center console there is a small portion of it that will have to be filed down in order for this newer one to snap into place. I'll show it at a later date when i have a chance.

and last but not least recent pickup Mod that is working in progress
OEM IS-F Calipers with custom bracket to allow the rear to mount. Still need to get these refinished and some rotors then they will go on. May be a couple of months down the line before i get a chance to get them on though.

And some photos of the car out in the wild for you to enjoy,

and also, the Work Emotion CR2P wheels may be going to a new home soon, and you know what that means then for this car......

one of the best detailed builds for the 3is. wish i had the ***** and time to do some of the stuff you did

do you have to replace brake lines or refill the fluid for the isf caliper change? i've never actually changed calipers and that's one thing i don't wanna mess up is the brake system.
