Default fifan's 99 gs300 build

I figured before i got too far along with the changes i should probably start a build thread to keep track of the changes... so i guess it starts now 12 months after i brought her home. I started with a bone stock unmolested 1999 gs 300 that had 196k on the clock not much in my opinion not even 120,000 miles. The car had been serviced all its life from a lexus dealer and was a one owner and i was lucky enough to ****** her up.
When i first got her home i really did not have any plans other than a sq stereo that i could really enjoy and re tint the windows as they did not look so good. So that was the beginning of the obsession with my gs, the windows were tinted the following week.... wow what a difference. Next was a drop in k&n air filter and a set of ngk irrudium spark plugs. The next week i started figuring out what i wanted stereo wise.
I ended up with a pioneer double din with dvd, reverse camera and bluetooth, focal k2 6.5 up front, hertz hcx 6.5 in the rear, alpine type R 10 in a custom sealed box,and audio control epicenter and a polk audio 5 channel amp with all stinger interconnect topped off with dynamatted front doors and entire trunk.I had to make baffle boards and space the fronts out to get the massive magnets to clear the windows on the focal's. I also removed the ashtray and put my sub control and usb port in there to use up that space. I also removed the factory cd changer seeing how it was not going to be used again and installed my epicenter in a wood framed box made of some left over mdf from making the box and amp rack.
I was over the moon happy with the end result and started thinking of what i wanted to do next, ended up with wheels, mostly because 2 of my stockies had gutter rash and 2 of my tires were just about gone. I wanted a good look with no dramas so i opted out of the 20's because i was told the speedo would be off and i was not real excited about 35 seires tires here in sydney because the roads are so bad. I ended up buying bsa g2 whees chrome with black inserts wrapped in 245/40/18 hancook ventus v12 tires..... which i love, hands down one of the best sets of tires i have ever bought.
Next up was the removal of some of that wheel well gap, i bought and installed a set of jdm coilovers which were just done yesterday which i guess gets me up to date. Next up is the headlights, stay tuned for more pics.

Finally got my new headlights installed, a bit of fiddling to get the 4 10mm bolts out behind the inner guard, if i had to do it again i would remove the wheel and the inner guard to make my life a bit easier. Also re covered the center console. I could not be more happier with the lights, they look amazing at night... too bad my crummy phone cant take the pic properly of the ccfl's light up.My car was stock hid and for anyone wanting to upgrade their lights its no big deal to do you just need T taps, insluated male spade terminals a pair of strippers, crimpers and a test light. I cut all of the plugs off the new set of lights and crimped on the spades and used the t taps on the factory wiring.

My center console was not as bad as some i have seen but it bugged me so i figured i would give it a freshing up, tyvm for who ever did the diy thread it was helpfull, too bad i stuffed up a tiny bit of the under foam when installing the cover, there is a tiny wrinkle on the front left corner but other than that i am pretty happy with it too.
