Been slacking with the updates, because of the holidays. But the Injen Intake came in about a week ago, and I finally got it installed yesterday. Love the sound! But, I'm pretty sure it didn't do anything to help much power wise, lol. Next up is gonna be the Megan ez coilovers and exhaust. My goal is to have this car pretty much done for IFO here in Tucson, in March.

Great thread, I am sorry to hear about your older IS.
I wanted to chime in since I could really relate to this build thread as I went through the same thing.
-I also went with a relatively conservative wheel/tire stance.
-I was also dropped on H&R first, wasn't happy and ended up getting Megan EZs.
From personal experience, I don't think you will need to roll your rears. I have a slightly more aggressive setup with wider tires and i was no where close to rubbing in the back with H&Rs.
I would also like to recommend getting coilovers though. It just completes the look. With 8x18 +40, you should be able to lower it to no finger gap without much hassle. You will probably only rub when you make sharp turns. This is my guess because I am roughly -13 more and my wheel/tire are 2cm taller and I don't really rub.
I have been very happy with my EZs so far. It goes low and still rides like stock. I was skeptical at first but I was very surprised.
Regards,
